The teaching method of network inquiry originated from abroad and was introduced into China through translation,causing a strong reaction in the field of education.Its advantages have been widely recognized by experts and scholars,but for various reasons,this teaching method has not been widely used in high school ideological and political courses.During the past period of online teaching,many ideological and political teachers have reported slow progress in online classes and low attendance rates for students.In this context,the network inquiry teaching method has regained its vitality and has been tested and validated in high school ideological and political courses.On the one hand,the internet-based inquiry teaching method can make up for the shortcomings of low teaching efficiency and lack of student interest in high school ideological and political courses with its efficiency,openness,and diversity,while on the other hand,it can meet the new requirements for high school ideological and political courses as China’s economy and technology continue to develop.Based on this,this article focuses on the application of internet-based inquiry teaching method in high school ideological and political courses,in order to provide more choices and experience for the teaching methods of high school ideological and political courses.Through investigating the current status of using online inquiry teaching method in high school ideological and political courses,this article finds that there are many difficulties in the specific application process,such as the low proportion of online inquiry teaching method applied in high school ideological and political courses,the lack of willingness,stimulation and proficiency of teachers in using online inquiry teaching method in their own classroom teaching,and the low cooperation of some students in online inquiry classrooms.By analyzing the situation,it is discovered that certain conditions are necessary for the development of online inquiry teaching method,such as weak awareness,inadequate ability and insufficient technology of teachers in using online inquiry teaching method,and low willingness of some students to participate in online inquiry classrooms.Therefore,based on identifying problems and analyzing the reasons,this article discusses the improvement measures for fully utilizing and exerting the effectiveness of online inquiry teaching method in high school ideological and political courses,such as gradually promoting the application of online inquiry teaching method,enhancing teachers’ awareness and ability to use it,developing teachers’ technological skills,and increasing students’ willingness to participate in online inquiry classrooms.Following the consistency principle of problem,reason,and measures,this article proposes the expansion of the use of network exploration teaching methods in high school ideological and political courses,hoping to promote the integration of information technology and high school ideological and political courses,achieve the goal of continuously promoting the application of information technology in the teaching process,improve the quality of offline teaching in high school ideological and political courses,and practice the curriculum purpose of "cultivating students’ moral character".
