General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed at a symposium for teachers of ideological and political theory courses in schools that to promote reform and innovation in ideological and political theory courses,we must adhere to the "eight unity".The important statement of "eight unity" is an important guideline of ideological and political education proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping in view of the trend of development of the times and China’s national conditions.Among them,insisting on the "unity of theory and practice" requires cultivating people with scientific theories in teaching,attaching importance to the practical nature of ideological and political courses,combining the small ideological and political classroom with the large social classroom,guiding students to understand society,serve the country,deepen their understanding of scientific theories and use them to arm their minds.As an important method of integrating theory with practice,the teaching method of " one case to the end " is different from the traditional teaching mode of emphasizing theory and neglecting practice.It relies on cases to create and simulate real situations,and uses an example to connect classroom knowledge,so that students can comprehensively use the theory they have mastered to discuss and analyze,focusing on the improvement of students ’ ability to analyze and solve problems.The focus is on the improvement of students’ analytical and problem-solving skills.However,due to the deep-rooted traditional education concept and the pressure of entrance examinations,the "one case to the end" method still has the problems of superficiality,superficiality and performance in the teaching of high school ideology and politics,which obscures the proper value of case teaching.In response to these problems,this paper combines the concept of in-depth teaching with the "one case to the end" method of high school ideology and politics,and tries to explore the realization of in-depth teaching in the "one case to the end" classroom of high school ideology and politics.The body of this paper is divided into three parts:The first part: to define the concepts of in-depth teaching and "one case to the end",and try to analyze the application value of "one case to the end" in high school ideology and politics class under the perspective of in-depth teaching.It is an important method to promote students’ deep learning,a necessary way to build a quality ideology and politics classroom,and an important initiative to deepen the teaching reform of ideology and politics class.The second part: Based on the questionnaire data,we summarize the problems of "one case to the end" teaching method in high school ideology and politics class based on in-depth teaching perspective: there is a tendency of superficiality in case teaching design;there is a tendency of performativity in classroom case teaching;there is a tendency of superficiality in case teaching reflection.On the basis of the analysis of the problems,we explore the reasons for the problems of "one case to the end" method in high school ideology and politics classroom.This paper analyzes the main reasons from the perspectives of "one case to the end" teaching method itself,teachers and students: the difficulty of "one case to the end" design,the limitation of teachers’ professionalism,and the lack of students’ commitment to learning,respectively.The third part: to propose effective countermeasures to achieve in-depth teaching in the application of "one case to the end" method in high school ideology and politics class.Firstly,teachers should clarify the teaching concept,enrich their knowledge reserve,and make sufficient theoretical and ideological preparation for "one case to the end" teaching;secondly,before teaching cases,they should constantly optimize the teaching design,focus on the design of teaching cases,contextual problems and teaching objectives,and improve teachers’ ability to effectively design "one case to the end" teaching method;once again,they should improve their ability in presenting cases,analyzing cases,summarizing
