According to the Chemistry Curriculum Standards for senior high Schools(2017edition,2020 revision edition),"In the stage of compulsory courses,emphasis should be placed on the leading role of basic concepts of chemistry(major concepts)." With the implementation of the new curriculum reform and the issuing of the new curriculum standards,the quality of talents trained by our education is increasingly high.The subject concept can reflect the nature of the subject,is a key concept,principle or method with lasting transfer value,and emphasizes the systematic and integral teaching in an organized way.The 5E teaching mode emphasizes organized and systematic inquiry.Therefore,the combination of big concept teaching and 5E teaching mode has strong theoretical and practical significance.The application of 5E teaching mode in teaching under the guidance of big concept can lead the big concept teaching of high school chemistry from the mistake of rote memorization to the right direction.In addition,this process is also conducive to promoting the professional development of teachers,so that education and teaching activities keep up with the pace of social development.In order to achieve the above goals,this study takes the concept of equilibrium(chemical equilibrium requires conditions,and when conditions change,the equilibrium will also change)as the guidance,and chooses ion equilibrium in aqueous solution as the content.Firstly,it analyzes the research status of "Big concept" and "5E teaching model" at home and abroad.Secondly,based on the curriculum standards,the paper analyzes the feasibility of integrating "big concept teaching" and "5E teaching mode".The teaching content is based on the main concept of learning--"Ionic reaction in aqueous solution".The teaching design of this section is carried out in the form of new teaching,and the teaching practice is carried out.Finally,in order to verify the effectiveness of the 5E teaching mode guided by the subject concept in high school chemistry classroom teaching,the form of pretest and post-test is used to evaluate the students’ learning situation.Questionnaire survey was used to explore the students’ adaptation to the new teaching mode.Use the form of teacher interview to understand the front-line teachers’ views on the new teaching mode.Based on the above theories and empirical research,relevant conclusions are finally drawn:the 5E teaching mode guided by big concepts can help students deepen their understanding of big concepts of chemistry,improve students’ learning interest in chemistry and develop students’ core quality of chemistry.
