With the advent of the information age,people are in an increasing need to use high-level conceptual thinking to master the growing knowledge.Against the backdrop,people begin to organize the content and process of unit teaching with big ideas(also called big concept)to promote the effective implementation of core literacy cultivation goals.In 2018,the Chinese curriculum standards for senior high schools issued by the Ministry of Education also proposed the use of big ideas to optimize the curriculum content and promote the generation of students’ core competence in subjects”,opening up a new approach for teachers’ teaching design.This research sorts out and analyzes the literature related to big ideas and Chinese language unit teaching,and on this basis,a Chinese language unit teaching design model and operation process guided by the concept of big ideas are constructed,and case designs are conducted based on this model and process,with the aim of benefiting frontline teachers in planning and designing Chinese language unit teaching.This article mainly adopts literature research and case analysis methods to study the unit teaching design of Chinese language based on the big ideas.The full text is composed of an introduction and four chapters of the main text.To be specific,first of all,we sorted out the relevant research literature of "Big ideas" and "unit teaching of Chinese language",clarified the connotation,characteristics and forms of expression of "big ideas" and "unit teaching of Chinese language",and improved the understanding of "big ideas" and unit teaching of Chinese language in the language discipline.Secondly,we analyze the value of the big ideas in unit teaching of Chinese language,aiming to explain why it is necessary to integrate Chinese language unit teaching with the notion of big ideas at present.Thirdly,based on the above theoretical and value analysis,and referring to existing research,a Chinese language unit teaching design model with big ideas taking command of others has been designed,and the specific teaching design process has been demonstrated and explained.Finally,we use the design model of this study for a case study(taking the second unit of high school Chinese compulsory textbook 2 as an example),and summarize and reflect on the design.I hope this study can provide some reference and guidance for frontline teachers to independently design unit teaching based on big ideas.
