With the continuous implementation of the new curriculum reform and the proposal of the five core qualities of the history discipline,the history textbook of high school has ushered in a new reform.The history textbooks for senior high schools were put into use in2019.Compared with the previous history textbooks,the new version of the textbooks has some changes in style structure,text content and the design of text auxiliary system.Based on global history,Economic and Social Life is written according to the six main themes of agriculture,industry,commerce,housing,transportation,and medicine.It has the characteristics of large time span and strong integration,and also includes rich text assistance systems.How to reasonably use the text assistant system to break through the key and difficult points becomes the key.The text assistance system for Economic and Social Life can be divided into three categories based on its presentation position and function: guidance system,explanation system,and consolidation system.They are of great significance for both teacher teaching and student learning: in terms of teacher teaching,text assistance systems can supplement the main content,achieve deep teaching,improve teaching processes,and optimize interactive modes;For students’ learning,text assistance systems can stimulate their interest in learning,broaden their historical perspective,implement core competencies,and promote comprehensive development.As a newly used textbook,based on current questionnaire surveys and personal interviews,both teachers and students have failed to effectively utilize the text assistance column in Economic and Social Life,which has affected its full function.Therefore,teachers should implement educational,scientific,systematic,practical,and targeted teaching principles when using text assistance systems.At the same time,targeted teaching methods such as mastering the outline,skillfully integrating,cleverly setting questions,and flexibly arranging should be adopted in specific teaching links.Finally,based on the above,the teaching design of the lesson "From Food Collection to Food Production" is used to provide specific cases for actual classroom teaching and reflect on the issues that need to be noted,in order to fully utilize the function of the text assistance system.
