| The big idea is the subject idea which reflects the nature of the subject,has high generalization,control and transfer application value.It has a high degree of consistency with unit teaching in teaching function,and both promote the development of students’ core literacy.As an important part of science education,chemistry in junior high school is enlightening,fundamental,contemporary and practical,and of great value to the comprehensive development of students.Curriculum Standards for Chemistry in Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)proposes to construct a content system of chemistry curriculum based on big ideas,and design unit teaching based on big idea to promote the development of students’ core literacy.The research focuses on unit overall instructional design and practice research based on large ideas,and mainly answers the following research questions:Question 1: What is the framework of the overall teaching design of junior high school chemistry unit based on the big idea?Question 2: How to develop the overall teaching design case of junior high school chemistry unit based on the big idea?Question 3: What is the effect of the overall teaching design of junior high school chemistry unit based on the big idea?On the basis of literature research,the relevant ideas are defined and the theoretical basis of the research is determined.Based on this design,the theoretical framework of overall teaching design of junior high school chemistry unit is developed: Determine the unit teaching content,extract the big idea — Analysis of the teaching elements of curriculum standards,textbooks and students’ learning situation — Construct the hierarchy diagram of unit idea — Determine the overall teaching objectives and evaluation objectives of the unit — Determine the teaching objectives and evaluation objectives of class hours — Design the unit teaching activities — Evaluate the unit teaching activities — Reflect on the unit teaching activities.Taking the big idea of "composition of matter" as an example,the unit overall instructional design of "Composition and structure of matter" unit was carried out,and 7 teaching cases were completed.The third grade of a provincial demonstration middle school in Hebei Province was selected as the practice object,and the teaching practice was carried out for 4weeks.Stage test,student self-assessment scale and interview survey were used to evaluate the teaching practice effect of the experimental class and the control class.The results showed that:(1)the experimental class and the control class had significant differences on the whole;(2)The overall teaching design of junior high school chemistry unit based on the big concept can improve students’ interest in learning chemistry;(3)The implementation of the overall teaching design of junior high school chemistry unit based on big concepts,students can actively participate in learning activities,and can integrate and transfer knowledge in real situations,which is conducive to promoting the realization of teaching functions and the implementation of core discipline literacy.Based on the research results,the author puts forward some teaching suggestions:(1)grasp the nature of chemistry and understand the big idea deeply.(2)Create a real situation and carry out exploration activities.(3)carry out stratified teaching and implement individualized teaching.(4)Drive scientific inquiry and group cooperative learning.In order to improve and develop the unit overall instructional design of junior high school chemistry unit based on big idea. |
