| In the context of online teaching,teachers’ online teaching competence is an important prerequisite for the effectiveness of online teaching implementation.F City is a developing city with a population of tens of millions in the central region,with many school-age children and adolescents,and education is quite different from the surrounding developed cities,and the society has a greater demand for improving teachers’ online teaching ability and school running level.In view of this,based on the research results of teacher competence and online teaching competency of primary and secondary school teachers,this study analyzes the current situation,existing problems and influencing factors of online teaching competency of primary school teachers in F City,and provides suggestions for reference,so that teachers can provide more professional and meticulous online teaching services.In this study,primary school teachers in F City were the research object,focusing on their online teaching competence,and questionnaire survey method and interview as the research method.373 valid questionnaires were collected and 9frontline teachers and 3 education administrators were interviewed semi-structured.The study found that primary school teachers in the region are basically capable of meeting the real needs of online teaching,but their performance is uneven in all dimensions,and there is still room for improvement.Among them,teachers’ personal characteristics and professional character in online teaching performed the best,while teachers’ professional knowledge of online teaching,professional ability of online teaching,improving learners’ online learning ability and teachers’ emotional attitude and values in online teaching were still insufficient.Specifically,teachers’ understanding of online teaching needs to be improved,knowledge related to online teaching needs to be strengthened,professional ability of online teaching is insufficient,and teachers’ ability to promote online learning of learners is not good.In addition,factors such as teachers’ age,teaching experience,training experience,experience in using information technology,lesson preparation time,online teaching and research,and teachers’ independent learning affect teachers’ online teaching competence.Finally,based on the research results,the following suggestions are put forward for the improvement of primary school teachers’ online teaching competence: update educational concepts and actively adapt to the online teaching environment;Adhere to self-education,continuous reflection,and full lesson preparation;Optimize the training system,pay attention to individual differences,and explore various training methods;Training should focus on effectiveness and focus;Optimize evaluation mechanisms to evaluate and promote development;Do a good job in teaching connection,strengthen the application of information technology means,and help teachers to teach online competency. |
