Since the reform of Chinese curriculum,the cultivation of critical thinking ability of Chinese subject has attracted much attention,and reading is the best way to improve students’ critical thinking ability.Reading the whole book is easier to improve the critical thinking ability of junior high school students than reading a single article because of its rich content.The majority of Chinese teachers have noticed this point and tried to combine some speculative teaching design in the whole book reading teaching,but the effect is not ideal in the concrete implementation.Therefore,how to improve the critical thinking ability of junior high school students by reading the whole book is a problem that teachers must think about.Through the limited classroom teaching time of the whole book,the teacher carefully designed and effectively implemented,and the students completed the relevant learning tasks in the form of reading groups,so as to cultivate the students’ critical thinking ability.This text aims at cultivating students’ critical thinking ability by reading the whole book in Chinese teaching of junior middle school.It is mainly divided into the following four parts:The first part is the introduction,mainly elaborated the writing reason,research status,research significance,research methods.The second part is an overview of the critical thinking ability of junior high school students under the background of Chinese subject.First of all,combined with the literature,the concept of critical thinking ability is clearly defined and confirmed that junior high school students have a certain critical thinking ability.Secondly,it is clear that Chinese is conducive to the improvement of critical thinking ability.Finally,the author discusses the significance of cultivating students’ critical thinking ability by reading the whole book.The third part is the investigation and analysis of the current situation of critical thinking cultivation of junior high school students in reading the whole book.Through the questionnaire survey,interview and classroom observation of teachers and students,it is found that there are some problems in the speculative teaching of reading the whole book of Chinese in junior middle school,which leads to the lagging of the overall thinking ability of junior middle school students in Chinese subject.There are many reasons for the problems,including the influence of traditional culture and the bondage of exam-oriented education,as well as the influence of centralized management of schools and the lack of teachers’ quality.The fourth part is to put forward the whole book reading to junior high school students critical thinking ability training strategy.On the one hand,based on the macro level of the dialectical teaching of reading the whole book,six principles are put forward,which are rational expression principle,part and whole principle,subjectivity principle,innovation principle,reader and author principle,and process principle.On the other hand,according to the nature of the genre of the whole book is differentiated,respectively from the prose collection,popular science books,novels three kinds of classics to explore the specific implementation of the dialectical teaching needs to pay attention to the problems,and try to use in practice.
