| During the Western civilization periods such as ancient Greece and Rome,people had already realized that one of the material carriers of urban spiritual life was public space,while in China,it was not until modern times that people realized it.Urban social space under the joint action of three factors: "The country needs to continue to expand its political and public space;people’s lives need to continue to expand their personal space;various social organizations,especially informal organizations(including families),require a social and communication space in the sense of group,a space required by three factors,a" common social core "of the masses,and three forces acting on one factor,Extend in the direction of a concentric circle."As urban civil society deepens,the synergy of the three elements becomes more balanced,and the public space that people can share becomes richer." So,what is public space?What is the relationship between public space,sports activities,government,society,and individuals? This article takes the Nanjing Central Stadium as the research object,uses the public space theory to place the Nanjing Central Stadium in a diachronic and synchronic historical context,uses research methods such as literature review,historical analysis,and other research methods to ensure the relevant historical archives from the Republic of China period to the present,and takes the Nanjing Central Stadium as a case study.The research process is as follows:The first part introduces the germination of modern sports in Nanjing and the development of modern cities and sports in Nanjing.The second part describes the origin of the construction of the Central Stadium and its historical changes based on historical data.The third part studies the functional evolution of the Nanjing Central Stadium,including highlighting the political strength of the new leaders-the Capital Plan;"Call for Sports to Save the Nation"-the Fifth National Games;The cultivation of sports elites-National Academy of Traditional Chinese Sports;Exploration of the Practice of Integrating Sports and Teaching in Physical Education Institutions of Higher Learning-"Southern Sports Model".The fourth part focuses on the academic interpretation of the significance of the spatial transformation of the Nanjing Central Stadium building.The Central Stadium is a public space with dual political and cultural connotations.At that time,the Central Stadium used "sports to save the country" as a call sign to unite the national people and self-confidence,and expressed a "muscle show" attitude towards the major powers including Japan.Today,the Central Stadium is not only a cultural symbol of the Nanjing Institute of Physical Education,but also undertakes the important tasks of teaching,training,and scientific research of the Nanjing Institute of Physical Education,becoming a unique venue resource for the Nanjing Institute of Physical Education.From the perspective of public space theory,studying the history and changes of the Nanjing Central Stadium has undergone three major changes in its nature.It has transformed from a sports venue to a university facility,and has been rated as an architectural heritage.From the political discourse field of "saving the nation from extinction" in past sports The spatial representation of the new national physique under the national rejuvenation will has evolved into an educational base for today’s "integration of sports and education" practice and a cultural and entertainment space reflected in the people’s lifestyle. |
