| In 2020,the COVID-19 epidemic disrupted the normal life of the general public.All parts of the country began to advocate unnecessary not to go out,to minimize unnecessary cross-provincial,cross-city activities.In order to prevent and control the epidemic more effectively,China’s education authorities have advocated and implemented online teaching,that is,"schools do not open and students take online classes".But online teaching is different from traditional teaching methods in the past,where the traditional classroom teaching is face-to-face teaching,feedback and supervision.Online learning is a kind of classroom teaching method supported by computer,Internet and multimedia technology.Online learning engagement is the reflection of the continuous positive situation in the complex process of college students participating in online learning activities and maintaining communication with the learning community.In recent years,domestic and foreign academic circles have discussed the related aspects of online learning,providing innovative ways for the training of tourism management professionals.Firstly,this study combs and analyzes the relevant research literature on "online learning engagement" and "online learning engagement of tourism management undergraduates",and understands the concept and dimension division of "learning engagement".Based on the three research cornerstone of constructivism learning theory,student participation theory and learning engagement theory,this paper puts forward four main dimensions of online learning engagement of tourism management undergraduates.Secondly,combined with the characteristics of online learning of tourism management undergraduates and referring to the classic scales at home and abroad,the interview outline and scale were prepared in line with the characteristics of online learning of tourism management undergraduates.This paper takes undergraduates majoring in tourism management who participate in online classroom learning as the research object,and adopts the methods of interview survey and questionnaire survey to collect and sort out the relevant data of online learning engagement of undergraduates majoring in tourism management.Using SPSS26.0 to analyze the data,the following results were obtained:(1)Tourism management undergraduates are generally better able to adapt to the network teaching mode,and the online learning engagement of tourism management undergraduates is above the average level.(2)The gender,grade,working experience,parents’ education level,learning environment for participating in online classes,the number of courses taken and learning duration of tourism management undergraduates will have significant differences in their online learning engagement.(3)Online learning cognitive engagement,online learning behavior engagement,online learning emotional engagement and online learning interaction engagement will have a significant impact on students ’online learning engagement.Finally,according to the three theoretical foundations and research results of constructivism learning theory,student participation theory and learning engagement theory,this paper gives the basic countermeasures to improve the online learning engagement of tourism management undergraduates from the four perspectives of online learning cognitive engagement,online learning behavior engagement,online learning emotional engagement and online learning interaction engagement.(1)For undergraduates majoring in tourism management,the particularity of the tourism industry determines that the knowledge they learn is very extensive and very comprehensive compared with other disciplines.Guide students to correctly recognize professional attributes and improve self-efficacy;To cultivate students ’interest in online classroom learning and stimulate their learning motivation,this process is not only conducive to cultivating students’ independent choice and participation in teaching activities.It also enables students to improve their cognitive engagement level of online learning through autonomous learning.(2)Because students lack of centralized online learning experience,nor have they received systematic guidance and training of online learning methods,it is very easy to cause students to hit a wall in learning methods,and then cause students’ learning efficiency is not high.Therefore,tourism management colleges can set skill guidance courses to optimize students ’online learning behavior.In order to improve students’ online learning behavior engagement level,teachers should guide them to join in the online classroom discussion,which can help them understand scientific online learning methods and improve students’ online learning situation.(3)Students are the originators of online learning engagement,so the focus of improving their emotional engagement in online learning lies in learners themselves.Schools and teachers should pay attention to students ’online classroom learning experience and improve learning satisfaction.At the same time,the online learning mode also requires tourism management majors to spend time staring at electronic screens,which is easy to produce physical and mental fatigue and discomfort.Therefore,we must vigorously improve the support of teachers to build an active online classroom atmosphere.(4)Interactivity is the core of an effective online classroom.Both teacher-student interaction and student-student interaction are major parts of online learning interactions.Therefore,it is necessary to strengthen communication between teachers and students to improve the quality of students ’learning engagement.Constructivism learning theory emphasizes that learners should become explorers and discoverers of knowledge in group cooperation and classroom communication.According to the above ideas,based on the online cooperative learning group can promote the online interaction between students and students,is the most effective learning method.Therefore,we should strengthen the interaction between students and form a comprehensive learning community.
