Local revolutionary cultural resources are the material and spiritual civilisation left behind by the Communist Party of China in the course of revolution and construction in recent times,and are important teaching resources that cannot be ignored in Party history education.At the national level,Chapter 10 of the Outline of the 14 th Five-Year Plan(2021-2025)and the 2035 Vision for National Economic and Social Developme nt of the People’s Republic of China,entitled "Developing Advanced Socialist Culture and Enhancing National Cultural Soft Power",explicitly calls for the strengthening of Party history education and the promotion of the struggles of the Party and its people in various historical periods.In Chapter 10 of the Outline of the Plan and Vision 2035,"Developing Advanced Socialist Culture and Enhancing National Cultural Soft Power",it is clearly required to strengthen education on the history of the Party,promote the great spirit formed by the Party and its people during their struggles in various periods of history,and improve the system of joint management of education on ideals and beliefs for young people.The school,as the main venue for the education of young people in Party history,should give full play to the guiding role of each subject.In the case of history,the new curriculum reform has introduced a new concept of knowledge that incorporates local knowledge into the scope of knowledge and requires teachers and students to actively develop and make reasonable use of various curriculum resources both inside and outside school to enrich the form of Party history education.The integration of local revolutionary cultural resources into senior secondary history teaching is not only conducive to the development of the educational value of local revolutionary cultural resources,but also to the enrichment of senior secondary history classroom teaching,the cultivation of students’ national sentiments,and the formation of correct value judgement and value choices.However,the current situation of the development of local revolutionary cultural resources and their use in history teaching in senior high school is not optimistic,and there are problems such as in adequate development of local revolutionary cultural resources,low fit with history teaching in senior high school,and lack of depth in the excavation of local revolutionary cultural resources.The paper also provides a detailed teaching design to explore specific strategies for their use.In the introduction,the paper analyses the background to the study of the use of local revolutionary cultural resources in history teaching in senior high school the definition of relevant concepts,the current state of research and the innovations of the study.The main text is divided into four parts.The first part gives a brief introduction to the revolutionary cu ltural resources of Yuan’an County,Hubei Province,and summarises and analyses their characteristics.The second part analyses the necessity and feasibility of applying the revolutionary cultural resources of Yuan’an County to history teaching in senior high school.The third part analyses the data and interview results based on a questionnaire survey and interviews conducted in Middle School A in Yuan’an County,in order to understand the current situation of the use of revolutionary cultural resour ces in history teaching in senior high school and the intention to develop them.The fourth section points out how to select local revolutionary cultural resources for use in history teaching in senior high school,and demonstrates specific strategies and examples of the use of local revolutionary cultural resources in and outside of history teaching in senior high school in the context of specific teaching designs.
