The establishment of a high-quality education system cannot be separated from the reform and development of the basic system of preschool education,let alone the high-quality construction of the preschool teacher team.In 2018,the "Several Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Deepening the Reform and Standardizing the Development of Preschool Education" advocated the allocation of teaching staff in accordance with standards,ensuring the status and treatment of teachers in accordance with the law,improving the training system,improving the training system,and strictly managing the teaching staff.A series of requirements focus on ensuring the basic rights of preschool teachers,making the preschool teacher team flourish.However,the frequent occurrence of occupational burnout among preschool teachers,the instability of teacher strength,the imbalance of teacher allocation,and the serious brain drain are still prominent issues that need to be addressed urgently by the preschool teacher team.In order to solve the above problems,this study,from the perspective of positive psychological capital,seeks to enhance the work enthusiasm and engagement of preschool teachers through the development and utilization of psychological capital,and reduce their burnout caused by the impact of work.This study selected 514 preschool teachers from Sichuan Province and Guizhou Province as the research subjects,and conducted a questionnaire survey using the short version of the "Local Psychological Capital Scale" compiled by Ke Jianglin et al.,the "Primary and Secondary School Job Burnout Scale" compiled by Wu Xinchun et al.,and the "Teacher Job Satisfaction Questionnaire" revised by Wang Yongxian.On the basis of data analysis,in-depth interviews were conducted with 10 preschool teachers.The conclusions of this study are as follows: First,the level of psychological capital and job satisfaction of preschool teachers in this study is generally high,while the level of occupational burnout of preschool teachers is low,but the score of emotional exhaustion is high,and the phenomenon of emotional exhaustion is relatively serious.Secondly,demographic variables have significant effects on preschool teachers’ psychological capital,job burnout,and job satisfaction to varying degrees.There are significant differences in psychological capital and job burnout among preschool teachers in terms of marital status,labor relations,teaching experience,age,professional title,and salary level,but there are no significant differences in gender,kindergarten nature,and educational background;There are significant differences in job satisfaction among preschool teachers in terms of marital status,labor relations,teaching experience,age,educational background,professional title,and salary level,but there are no significant differences in gender and kindergarten nature.Thirdly,there is a significant correlation between preschool teachers’ psychological capital,job burnout,and job satisfaction.Psychological capital significantly negatively predicts job burnout,and significantly positively predicts job satisfaction;Job satisfaction significantly negatively predicts job burnout.Fourth,job satisfaction plays a mediating role in the relationship between psychological capital and job burnout,with job satisfaction partially mediating between transactional psychological capital and job burnout,and completely mediating between interpersonal psychological capital and job burnout.Based on the survey results of the current situation and relationships among psychological capital,job satisfaction,and job burnout,this study found that psychological capital and job satisfaction are important factors that affect preschool teachers’ job burnout,and also found that job satisfaction plays a partial mediating role between psychological capital and job burnout.This study proposes effective suggestions to alleviate preschool teachers’ job burnout from the perspectives of preschool teachers,kindergartens,and the country.
