Study On The Impact Of Labor Structure On China’s Agricultural Export Trade

Agriculture is the source of people’s food and clothing and an important driving force to promote social development.For a long time," Three Rural Issues" have been the focus of our party’s work,and the development of China’s agricultural export trade has played a booster role in increasing farmers’ income,driving employment in rural areas and promoting agricultural modernization.With the continuous development of industrialization and urbanization,the labor force in China’s rural areas continues to transfer outward.The phenomenon of aging,feminization and low cultural quality of the left behind labor force in rural areas is bound to have an impact on China’s agricultural production,and then on the development of China’s agricultural export trade,therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the impact of labor structure in rural areas on the development of China’s agricultural export trade.This paper divides the rural labor force structure into four parts: labor force age structure,labor force gender structure,labor force quality structure and labor force transfer structure.It describes in detail the composition of labor force structure in rural areas and the development of agricultural product export scale and export quality.Through the demographic dividend theory,human capital theory and gender stratification theory,and absolute advantage theory,comparative advantage theory and factor endowment theory to construct the impact mechanism of rural labor structure on China’s agricultural export trade.Based on the current situation analysis and influence mechanism,this paper selects the relevant data of rural labor force structure and agricultural product export trade in 31 provinces of China,and empirically investigates the impact of rural labor force structure on China’s agricultural product export scale and export quality by constructing a fixed effect regression model.The empirical results show that the age structure,quality structure and labor transfer structure of rural labor force have a significant positive impact on the export scale and quality of China’s agricultural products,while the gender structure of rural labor force has no significant impact on the export scale and quality of China’s agricultural products.Finally,according to the relevant analysis above,under the background of the existing structure of rural labor force,this paper puts forward the following policy suggestions on what measures China should take to ensure the sustainable and stable development of agricultural export trade: first,increase the investment of human capital to promote the export quality of agricultural products;second,increase the amount of scientific research funds for agricultural products and improve the export competitiveness of agricultural products;third,expand the scope of agricultural machinery subsidies and promote the development of the export scale of agricultural products;fourth,improve the rural social security system and attract high-quality talents to return home for development;fifth,promote the construction of characteristic brands of agricultural products and increase the export added value of agricultural products.
