| The newly promulgated "Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards for Mathematics(2022 Edition)" by the Ministry of Education has added the content of "drawing a parallel line through a point outside a straight line" and "making a tangent to a circle through a point outside a circle",which shows that ruler drawing plays an increasingly important role in enhancing students’ hands-on ability,improving students’ geometric intuition level,and developing students’ reasoning ability.However,due to the scattered distribution of the ruler drawing content in textbooks and the successive appearance of various drawing software,teachers’ teaching and students’ learning of ruler drawing are not optimistic,so it is worth pondering to carry out the teaching of ruler drawing about how to make it more meaningful.Ausubel believes that meaningful learning is a reasonable and essential connection between new knowledge and learners’ previous knowledge,and the process variation and conceptual variation in variable teaching can reflect the rational and essential connection of knowledge formation.Therefore,if the teaching of ruler drawing can be combined with the theory of variation,the teaching quality of ruler drawing can be effectively improved.This study got the following working:(1)By interviewing teachers and testing students through questionnaires,the teaching situation of ruler drawing in working schools was investigated,and the basic and complex ruler drawing abilities of students were analyzed in detail.(2)Introduce the teaching mode in detail of the five basic dimensions of making a line segment equal to a known line segment,making an angle equal to a known angle,making a bisector of an angle,making a perpendicular bisector of a line segment,and making a perpendicular to a known straight line through a point and making a parallel line parallel to this straight line through a point outside the line.(3)Using the method of procedural variation,the teaching design of the two chapters of "Five Basic Rulers Drawings" and "Crossing a point outside the straight line to make a parallel line to this straight line" were designed.(4)A comparative experiment between the variant teaching and the traditional teaching is carried out for the two sections of "Five Basic Rulers Drawings" and "Crossing a Point Outside the Straight Line to Make a Parallel Line to the Straight Line".The traditional teaching method is adopted,and the experimental class adopts a variable teaching method,and the data of the students’ ruler drawing test paper after the experiment are tested by T test and non-parametric test through SPSS26.0,and the students in the experimental class are interviewed after the experiment.The experimental results show that the variant teaching can effectively help students master the knowledge of ruler drawing,improve students’ interest in learning,and improve the efficiency of classroom teaching,which verifies the scientificity and effectiveness of the ruler drawing variant teaching.It is hoped that this research can enrich the teaching resource library of ruler drawing,provide some reference for the future teaching reform of ruler drawing,and better improve the quality of mathematics teaching in junior high schools. |
