Parabola is one of the three conical curves and plays an important role in high school mat hematics.Learning the contents of parabolas well as ellipses and hyperboles will strengthen th e learning process.But through the investigation and analysis,the student cannot feel the kno wledge forming process,cannot use the definition flexibly to solve the problem,cannot impro vise when making the question.Variation teaching is a widely used teaching method in china,which requires presenting knowledge from different angles,allowing students to experience th e process of knowledge generation and development,and grasp the essence of concepts in the process of learning.Therefore,if we make full use of variant teaching in teaching,we can effe ctively improve the quality of parabola teaching.Based on the teaching contents of parabola,t his paper investigates the teaching and learning of parabola in the practice school,discusses th e design and implementation of parabola teaching,and verifies the scientific and effective of p arabola teaching.It is hoped that this study can provide some reference basis for parabolic teac hing reform in the future and improve teaching quality.The main tasks accomplished are as fo llows:Through the research and analysis of the relevant literature of variable teaching,the quest ionnaire survey of sophomore and the interview of high school math teacher,the teaching mod e of mathematics parabola in high school is understood,and the students' understanding of con ic curve.According to the principle of variant teaching,the related classification and impleme ntation method of variant teaching mode are discussed from three aspects: concept,nature and problem.On the basis of studying the content of parabola teaching,based on the theory of variants,the paper designs variants of parabola and its standard equation,the geometric properties of p arabola and the relationship between line and parabola position to explore the training of stude nts' abilities in different kinds of classes.According to the theory and method of variation research,this experiment is designed in high school parabola teaching control experiment based on variation teaching.In this experim ent,the parabola teaching adopts different teaching methods.After the experiment,the student s in the experimental class were interviewed,and the feasibility and effectiveness of variant te aching in high school mathematics teaching were verified.Experimental results show that vari able teaching can effectively help students understand and apply parabolic knowledge,arouse students' learning interest and improve classroom teaching efficiency.
