As the extension of the classroom and the consolidation of knowledge,assignment has played an indispensable role in teaching.In addition to being a significant way for teachers to check the effect of classroom teaching,the assignment arrangement is also an important way for students to consolidate basic knowledge.Under the impact of traditional teaching concepts,one of the crucial means for students to improve their grades is reflected in assignment.Due to the pressure of "going to a school of a higher grade",teachers design the content of assignment as mechanized and repetitive content,and pursue the improvement of the quality with too much quantity.In this way,the all-round development of students is ignored,and the improvement of students’ comprehensive quality cannot be facilitated.For the issuing of the "double reduction" policy in July 2021,it is followed by the reduction of excessive work in schools and the "rectification" of off-campus training institutions.Therefore,students who have been under pressure of assignment for a long time usher in "spring",the front-line teachers also start to re-examine their education and teaching links,especially the assignment design link.However,the problems that teachers urgently need to study and solve lie in how to meet the requirement of "double reduction",how to control the content of subject assignments,as well as how to design the refined and efficient assignment?For a long time,teachers and students have not paid much attention to assignment design.Due to the extensive focus on the improvement of students’ performance,teachers have paid attention to students’ assignment arrangement and neglected the cultivation of students’ comprehensive ability and discipline literacy,so the problems such as single,mechanical and repetitive assignment are caused.The realization of teaching objectives and the development of students’ comprehensive abilities are seriously hindered by these problems.In this thesis,the effective assignment design of morality and rule of law in rural middle schools is taken as the research content,the research status of assignment design at home and abroad is sorted out,and the effective assignment design of morality and rule of law in middle schools in the context of "double reduction" is focused on.Through the ways of teacher interviews and student questionnaires,the problems existing in the assignment design of morality and rule of law in rural middle schools are understood,the reasons for the problems are analyzed,and the corresponding countermeasures are formulated.Four parts mainly constitute the thesis.In the first part,it is the introduction,in which the background and significance of the topic selection,the present research status at home and abroad,research ideas and methods,innovation and shortcomings are included.In the second part,the necessity and practical significance of the policy are analyzed based on the "double reduction" policy.In the third part,the data demonstration part of this thesis is carried out,in which the forms of interviews and questionnaires are adopted to provide real data for this thesis,the existing problems and reasons are analyzed and drawn.In the fourth part,it is the core part of this thesis,in which some suggestions on the effective assignment design of the morality and rule of law course in rural middle schools in the context of "double reduction" are given from the four aspects of teachers’ assignment design ability,students’ learning situation,innovative assignment forms and optimization of assignment evaluation.The assignment design examples are adopted to elaborate the strategy and make the formulation of the "double reduction" assignment design strategy in line with rural schools.
