High school students’ academic performance occupies a large part in their academic career,but it will also be affected by many factors.By combing the literature,it is found that future time insight and self-efficacy level have certain influence on academic performance.Based on previous studies,it is found that coping style and self-efficacy are less commonly studied as intermediary variables.The subjects of this study are high school students.In this study,three high schools in B city and X city were selected to conduct a questionnaire survey,with the tools of Adolescent Future Time Insight Scale,Simple Coping Style Scale and General Self-efficacy Scale.Taking high school students’ future time insight as the independent variable,academic performance as the dependent variable,and coping style and self-efficacy as the intermediary variables,this paper further broadens the research on influencing factors of academic performance and related theoretical models,and provides some suggestions and help for high school students,school education and parents.The results are as follows:1.Senior high school students’ future time insight is in the upper-middle level,and their coping style and self-efficacy are in good condition.There is a significant positive correlation between future time insight,coping style,self-efficacy and academic performance.2.There are significant differences in senior high school students’ future time insight in different genders,whether their classes are key classes,places of origin,arts and sciences,whether they are only children,whether they are class cadres in classes and different grades.3.There are significant differences in coping styles between senior high school students in key classes,students’ places of origin,only children and class cadres.There are no significant differences in different sexes,grades and arts and sciences.4.There are significant differences in senior high school students’ self-efficacy in key classes,students’ places of origin,arts and sciences,and whether they are class cadres.There is no significant difference between different sexes,whether they are only children or not,and between grades.5.There are significant differences in the academic performance of senior high school students in whether their classes are key classes,students’ places of origin,whether they are only children and whether they are class cadres.6.Senior high school students’ future time insight,coping style and self-efficacy can significantly predict their academic performance.Coping style and self-efficacy play an intermediary role between future time insight and academic performance;Coping style and self-efficacy play a chain intermediary role between future time insight and academic performance. |
