Study On The Influence Of Sports Education Mode On The Physical Activity Of College Basketball Club Students In Class

Abstract/Summary:
College students’ physique health is related to the country’s major plan.In September 2021,the Ministry of Education released the "Eighth National Students’ Physique and Health survey results",showing that college students’ physique health still has a declining trend.Physical education is the main way for college students to participate in sports.It takes students’ physical activities as the basic form of the course.Its primary task is to improve students’ physical quality and enhance their physique.The content and form of physical education have a direct influence on students’ physical activities.The traditional PE teaching model has been widely used in Chinese universities.Some scholars find that the model exposes the problems of the single PE teaching method and dull content.With the deepening of teaching reform,many foreign mature physical education teaching models have been introduced into Chinese universities.Among them,sports education model has been adopted by some colleges and universities.Introducing sports education model into college physical education is also a hot topic in current teaching research.Based on this,this study introduces the sports education model into the teaching of college basketball clubs.By comparing the physical activities of students in class under the traditional sports teaching model and the sports education model,it explores the influence of sports education model on the physical activities of college basketball club students in class.This study adopts the method of literature,experiment,field observation,mathematical statistics and logical analysis to discuss the students’ physical activities in class under the two teaching modes.A total of 200 students from 2020 grade Basketball Club and 2021 grade Basketball Club of Hubei Normal University were selected as experimental objects,among which 145 were control group and 55 were experimental group.The control group adopted the traditional physical education teaching mode,while the experimental group adopted the exercise education mode.The experimental intervention was conducted for a semester.Acti Graph w GT3X-BT accelerometer was used to collect the physical activity data of all students in class.Results: 1.The percentage of sedentary time of students in the control group was19.04%,which was higher than that in the experimental group,which was 16.34%,with significant statistical difference(P<0.001).2.The percentage of low-intensity physical activity time of students in the control group was 27.03%,which was significantly higher than that of students in the experimental group(22.81%),with significant statistical difference(P<0.001).3.The percentage of high intensity physical activity time of students in the control group and the experimental group could reach the recommended value of developed countries,but the percentage of high intensity physical activity time of students in the control group was 53.93%,significantly less than 60.85% of students in the experimental group,with extremely significant statistical difference(P<0.001).4.The exercise amount of the students in the control group was 3552.97 steps less than that of the students in the experimental group 3952.69 steps,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.001).5.The peak number of steps per minute of male students in the control group was 94.66,which was significantly less than that of male students in the experimental group,which was102.28,showing a significant statistical difference(P<0.001).There was no statistical difference between 86.52 steps for female students in the control group and 88.01 steps for female students in the experimental group(P>0.05).Conclusions: 1.Sports education model can significantly reduce the sedentary time and low-intensity physical activity time of college basketball club students in class.2.Both the traditional sports teaching mode and the sports education mode can make the middle and high intensity physical activity time of college basketball club students reach the recommended standards of developed countries,and the effect of the sports education mode is more obvious.3.Sports education model can significantly improve the amount of exercise of college basketball club students in class.4.The sports education model can significantly increase the peak step of male students in college basketball club class,but the effect is not obvious for female students.
