| Vocational adaptation is a process in which teachers,according to the internal and external requirements of work,constantly adjust their educational roles and working modes to coordinate the relationship with the working environment,complete the work tasks and realize their own development.As a new force in the group of head teachers in the school for intellectual disability,their vocational adaptation will affect their subsequent work,career growth and the growth and development of students.The object of this study is the new head teacher in the school for intellectual disability.Questionnaire survey and interview method are adopted to study their vocational adaptation and its influencing factors.Through the self-compiled Questionnaire on vocational adaptation of new head teachers in the school for intellectual disability,the research investigated the vocational adaptation of 200 new head teachers in the school for intellectual disability from the dimensions of environmental adaptation,psychological adaptation,skill adaptation and specific job adaptation.Subsequently,the researcher interviewed 9 new head teachers in the school for intellectual disability,explored their vocational adaptation and existing adaptation problems,and analyzed the influencing factors.The results showed that:(1)the vocational adaptation of new head teachers in the school for intellectual disability was above the average level.From the perspective of specific dimension adaptation,the new head teacher in the school for intellectual development will encounter adaptation problems in psychological adaptation and skill adaptation;(2)there is no significant difference in the vocational adaptation of new head teachers in the school for intellectual disability with different educational background,working intention,teaching age and head teacher allowance;(3)there are significant differences in the vocational adaptation of new head teachers in the school for intellectual disability in different gender,major and grade;(4)poor interaction between home and school is a common problem in the process of vocational adaptation for the new head teacher in the school for intellectual disability;(5)there are differences in the support received by new head teachers in the school for intellectual disability and their effects are uneven;(6)personal characteristics,professional ability,learning and practice experience,school organization atmosphere and class conditions are the influencing factors of the new head teacher’s vocational adaptation.This study puts forward relevant suggestions from the level of individual,school and government to provide reference for improving the adaptability of new head teachers in the school for intellectual disability. |
