| This study takes the “chemistry interdisciplinary practical activities of junior high school” as the starting point,deeply analyzes the relevant literature domestic and foreign as well as China’s curriculum standards of chemistry,physics,biology and geography in junior high school to construct the model what should be for the “Design of Chemistry Interdisciplinary Practical Activities in Junior High School”;At the same time,it uses semi-structured interviews with senior junior high school chemistry/science teachers,conducts three-level coding and analyzes the results of indepth interviews based on the grounded theory to construct the model what it is;Comparing and verifying the model what should be and what it is,it constructs the integrated model compatible with both theory and practice.Then it filters and modifies the integrated model elements through a questionnaire survey of 208 junior high school chemistry/science teachers and fuzzy Delphi method consulting 12 experts in multiple rounds of correspondence to obtain the optimized model.Based on this model,it develops an evaluation framework for the design of chemistry interdisciplinary practical activities in junior high school and a specific curriculum of interdisciplinary practical activities,then evaluates the curriculum and puts it into practice,and proposes the optimization direction of the curriculum according to the teaching process and feedback from teachers and students.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)The models of the “Design of Chemistry Interdisciplinary Practical Activities in Junior High School” what should be and what it is are highly consistent,validate and perfect their elements from both theory and practice.The integrated model finally constructed includes 6 first-level elements,20 second-level elements and 57 third-level elements,which are widely recognized by front-line junior high school chemistry/science teachers and experts.It provides a localized theoretical basis for designing high-quality chemistry interdisciplinary practical activities of junior high school.(2)The developed evaluation framework consists of 6 primary indicators,which are further divided into several secondary indicators with three levels from low to high:“Level 1”,“Level 2” and “Level 3”.The framework can be used to evaluate various interdisciplinary practical cases and judge their design level or quality.Not only can it screen out high-quality interdisciplinary practical cases,but also provide direction for subsequent reflection and improvement of the cases.(3)The developed curriculum of “Investigation of the Mysteries in the Characteristic Industry of Nanhu Ling” has local characteristics.15 of the 20 indicators reach “Level 3”(75%)and 5 reach “Level 2”(25%)by three senior teachers’ evaluation.Therefore,the curriculum is identified as above the medium level.It demonstrates the entire process of designing high-quality chemistry interdisciplinary practical activities in junior high school and provides a concrete and operable path for applying the model to guide curriculum desgin.(4)Implement the curriculum of “Investigation of the Mysteries in the Characteristic Industry of Nanhu Ling”,and its actual situation and feedback effect show that the curriculum can successfully carry out,and has a positive effect on knowledge,emotion,intention and behavior;The practice verifies the correctness and practicability of the model,confirms the feasibility and effectiveness of the case design;It also puts forward the direction of further optimization from three aspects about import function,teacher guidance and evaluation tools. |
