The continuous advancement of educational informatization has given new connotations to the teaching ability of normal university students in the new era.In2018,the Ministry of Education issued the "Educational Informatization 2.0 Action Plan(EI2 AP)",emphasizing the need to strengthen the cultivation of ICT teaching ability of normal university students.Due to the particularity of educational objects,the complexity of teaching content,and the importance of information technology in special education teaching,normal university students majoring in special education should meet the needs of special education teaching and improve their own ICT teaching ability.However,at present,there is still insufficient attention paid to the ICT teaching ability of normal university students majoring in special education.This study investigates the current situation and influencing factors of ICT teaching ability of normal university students majoring in special education.The study is divided into two parts.The first part is a survey of the current situation.Firstly,the researcher compiled the "Questionnaire on the Current Situation of ICT Teaching Ability of Normal University Students Majoring in Special Education ",which was tested to have a good reliability and validity.Secondly,an investigation was conducted on the current situation of ICT teaching ability of 504 normal university students majoring in special education.The findings are as follows:(1)The overall ICT teaching ability of normal university students majoring in special education is at an upper middle level,with uneven development in various dimensions.From low to high,the basic ICT teaching literacy,ICT teaching practice ability,and ICT teaching development ability are in order.(2)In the dimension of the basic ICT teaching literacy,they are relatively lacking in ICT teaching knowledge and operational ability,and have a good awareness and attitude of ICT teaching.(3)In the dimension of ICT teaching practice ability,they have good ICT teaching design ability,general implementation ability,but evaluation ability is relatively insufficient.(4)In the dimension of ICT teaching development ability,they have good ICT teaching reflective and collaborative abilities,but their ICT teaching research ability is average.(6)There are differences in familiarity with information technology resources.Among them,the familiarity with ICT teaching hardware and software in special education is poor,while the familiarity with general ICT teaching hardware and software and network platforms is relatively good.The second part is the study of influencing factors,using questionnaire survey and interview methods.The self-compiled "Questionnaire on Factors Affecting ICT Teaching Ability of Normal University Students in Special Education" was distributed to 504 normal university students in special education after testing.13 of them were selected for interviews.The results of the questionnaire survey show that:(1)The internal and external elements of normal university students’ personal factors have a significant positive predictive effect on their overall and various dimensions of ICT teaching ability.(2)Among the educational and teaching factors,curriculum elements and teacher-student elements have a significant positive predictive effect on their overall ICT teaching ability,while extracurricular learning elements only have a significant positive predictive effect on their basic ICT teaching literacy.(3)Among environmental factors,school environmental elements have no significant predictive effect on their overall ICT teaching ability,but have a significant positive predictive effect on their ICT teaching development ability;Social environmental elements have a significant positive predictive effect on the overall and various dimensions of normal university students’ ICT teaching ability.The interview results generally confirm the questionnaire survey results and supplement the questionnaire results.To sum up,this study proposes the following recommendations from three aspects:(1)Normal university students should enhance their awareness of the application of technology in special education and strengthen the communication for ICT teaching.(2)Schools should optimize relevant curriculum settings and carry out teaching in combination with special education;Give full play to the exemplary role of teachers and provide ICT teaching guidance;Provide extracurricular learning opportunities and strengthen the training for ICT teaching;(3)Relevant education departments should strengthen information-based construction and build a special education resource library;Increase information publicity and support the research of hardware and software for special education.
