The implementation of the "double reduction" policy and the "new curriculum standard" has put forward the requirements for reducing the quantity and improving the quality and efficiency of the after-school homework of "Morality and the Rule of Law" in junior high school.This paper starts from the design of after-school homework on "Morality and the Rule of Law" in junior high school and discusses how to improve its effectiveness.First of all,based on the existing research results and the author’s teaching practice cognition,the relevant concept is defined: Junior High School "Morality and the Rule of Law" After-school Homework is a task assigned to students by teachers of the Morality and the Rule of Law course in junior high school after the end of teaching activities,to help students consolidate knowledge,develop their abilities,and improve the core literacy of "Morality and the Rule of Law".It differs from pre-class homework and in-class homework in that its objectives focus on consolidating learning content,diagnosing the achievement of teaching goals and curriculum objectives,and assisting the implementation of teaching objectives and curriculum objectives.Its effectiveness can be judged by three indicators: Does it stimulate students’ interest in the homework? Can it bring a positive emotional experience to students?Can it improve students’ academic performance? Junior High School "Morality and the Rule of Law" After-class Homework Design is teacher-led,and comprehensively arranges and sets the content,difficulty,question volume,form,feedback and other aspects of homework according to homework objectives.Secondly,according to the relevant education and teaching theories,the effectiveness standards of homework design are proposed: clear goals,scientific content,appropriate form,and accurate feedback.Thirdly,based on the standards,an empirical investigation was carried out on the current situation of after-school homework in "Morality and the Rule of Law" in junior high school,and it was found that the existing problems were: the amount of homework was too large,and students’ interest in homework was not strong;Teachers’ cognition of homework goals is relatively vague,the positioning of homework goals is unreasonable,and there is a deviation from the core literacy requirements of the subject.The homework content lacks pertinence and does not fit the students’ real life;There are fewer forms of assignments,which limit students’ multiple intelligences and the overall development of personality;Job feedback is not taken seriously,and the conversion utilization rate of homework evaluation results is low.The reasons are: the ideological restraint of examination-oriented education,the constraint of teachers’ homework design level,the lack of homework design resources,and the restriction of students’ mental development level.Finally,in response to the problem,according to the effectiveness standards of the after-school homework design of "Morality and the Rule of Law" in junior high school,based on the curriculum standards,teaching materials and academic conditions,the path of homework design to improve the effectiveness of the after-school homework design of "Morality and the Rule of Law" in junior high school is planned: build a layer-by-layer goal system,a content system that fits the academic situation,a complementary form system,and an accurate and fast feedback system.In addition,the operation case design and the operation control experiment were carried out,and the feasibility of the path was verified by empirical research methods.
