| Core literacy is the character and key competencies necessary for individuals to adapt to the development of today’s society,and is the focus of the current curriculum reform.Therefore,the cultivation and development of students’ core literacy level is an important direction for education,an inevitable requirement for students to achieve all-round development,an effective way to implement the fundamental goal of establishing moral education,and a necessary way to deepen the reform of basic education.Electromagnetism in senior secondary physics is the second major module after mechanics,and is an important part of senior secondary physics,while experiments,as the foundation of physics,have a unique nurturing value.Therefore,in order to give full play to the nurturing value of experimental teaching of electromagnetism in senior secondary physics,promote the development of students’ core literacy in physics subjects and accelerate the implementation of the educational goal of establishing moral education,the researcher conducted a study and practice of experimental teaching of electromagnetism in senior secondary physics in the context of core literacy.The study began with teacher interviews and student interviews around students’ core literacy and experimental teaching of electromagnetism,and a student questionnaire survey of 412 students.The interviews and questionnaires were used to understand and analyse the current situation of students’ core literacy skills and students’ experimental teaching of electromagnetism in the region.Secondly,the results of the research and the actual situation in the region were used to design four core literacy-oriented cases of teaching electromagnetism experiments in high school physics and to put the designed cases into practice.Finally,the results of this study were used to analyse the development of students’ core literacies.This study has revealed that the core literacy skills of students in the region,especially scientific investigation skills,are generally low and further development of students’ core literacy skills needs to be addressed.After practice,compared with the control class,the mean value of the experimental water of physics electromagnetism increased by 0.27 points,the mean value of physical conceptual ability increased by0.25 points,the mean value of scientific thinking ability increased by 0.19 points,the mean value of scientific investigation ability increased by 0.27 points,the mean value of scientific attitude and responsibility increased by 0.4 points,and the mean value of student achievement water increased by 0.63 points.It can be seen that the research and practice of teaching electromagnetism experiments in high school physics in the context of core literacy can effectively improve students’ core literacy and help promote the implementation of the fundamental goal of establishing moral education. |
