Academic achievement has always been one of the hot spots in the research of basic education in China.The existence of entrance examinations in middle schools and universities enables middle school students to acquire results-oriented values in school and family education.The abstraction and logic of middle school mathematics make many students afraid of mathematics,The pressure of learning mathematics in junior high school is increasing,and their interest in mathematics is becoming lower and lower,A positive attitude towards mathematics learning and correct goal orientation can help students learn mathematics effectively.In order to understand the situation of junior middle school students’ math learning attitude and achievement goal orientation,this study analyzes the junior middle school students’ math learning attitude and achievement goal orientation,so as to explore the relationship between math learning attitude,achievement goal orientation and math performance.To this end,taking two middle schools in Xining as examples,the author conducted a questionnaire survey on the learning attitude,goal orientation and mathematics achievement of middle school students.Based on these data,the author has carried out detailed analysis and research,and reached the following conclusions:1.Junior high school students’ overall attitude towards mathematics learning is in the middle level.2.There is no significant gender difference in junior middle school students’ math learning attitude,but there are significant differences in grade and math homeroom teacher level.3.The achievement goal orientation of junior middle school students in mathematics learning is mainly based on the achievement approach goal.4.The achievement goal orientation of junior high school students has significant differences in gender,grade and mathematics homeroom teachers.5.There is an extremely significant positive correlation between junior high school students’ mastery approach goals and their attitudes towards mathematics learning.Achievement approach goals are positively correlated with their attitudes towards mathematics learning,while mastery avoidance goals and achievement avoidance goals are significantly negatively correlated with their attitudes towards mathematics learning.6.Junior middle school students’ attitude towards mathematics learning plays a partial mediating role between achievement goal orientation and mathematics achievement.
