| As China enters the stage of high-quality development, the driving role of innovation in high-quality economic development is becoming increasingly prominent.Innovation-driven development needs more and more scientific and technological talents as a support.Scientific and technological talents will play a more and more important role in the high-quality development of regional economy. However, from a realistic point of view, scientific and technological talents show obvious characteristics of agglomeration in space. What kind of impact will the agglomeration of scientific and technological talents have on the high-quality development of regional economy? How does the agglomeration of scientific and technological talents affect the high-quality development of regional economy? It remains to be further studied. Therefore, this paper takes 30 provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, excluding Tibet,Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan)as the object to explore the impact of scientific and technological talent agglomeration on the high-quality development of regional economy from both theoretical and empirical aspects. It is of great practical significance to give full play to the leading role of scientific and technological talents and promote the high-quality development of regional economy. This paper mainly includes the following research contents:(1)By summarizing and combing the existing literature, this paper finds the shortcomings of the existing research to provide reference for further research.(2)It defines the relevant concepts and expounds the relevant theories,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the following research. This paper analyzes the impact of scientific and technological talent agglomeration on the high-quality economic development of the region, spatial spillover effects and influence paths, and puts forward relevant theoretical research hypotheses.(3)The agglomeration level of scientific and technological talents in various provinces and cities of China from 2011 to 2020 is measured by location entropy.By constructing a comprehensive evaluation index system of high-quality economic development level based on the new development concept, the high-quality economic development level is calculated by entropy method. The temporal and spatial evolution trend of scientific and technological talent agglomeration and high-quality development of regional economy is analyzed. On this basis, through the construction of spatial Durbin model(SDM)to empirically analyze the impact of scientific and technological talent agglomeration on the high-quality development of regional economy. To investigate the regional heterogeneity of the influence of scientific and technological talent agglomeration on the high-quality development of regional economy in eastern, central and western China, and further verify the influence path of scientific and technological talent agglomeration on the high-quality development of regional economy. This paper mainly draws the following three conclusions:(1)There is an obvious gap between the agglomeration of scientific and technological talents among regions and the high-quality development of regional economy, which is generally shown as the pattern of east > middle > west.(2)From the national level, the concentration of scientific and technological talents can promote the high-quality economic development of the region, but it has a negative impact on the neighboring areas.from the regional level, the agglomeration of scientific and technological talents has a positive effect on the development of this region.and only the central and western regions have positive spatial spillover effects, while the eastern regions have negative spillover effects.(3)The agglomeration of scientific and technological talents can promote the high-quality development of regional economy mainly by improving regional innovation ability and labor productivity.Based on the conclusion of the analysis, the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to further promote the high-quality development of regional economy. |
