| After-school service is an important part of the school’s work in the current stage of compulsory education.As a new type of education service activity,it shoulders the important role of connecting and cooperating with the school’s daily teaching and jointly promoting the all-round development of students’ morality,intelligence,physical fitness,aesthetics and labor as well as the growth of personality.Since the “double reduction” policy was issued in 2021,the after-school service of primary and secondary schools across the country have been in full bloom.However,there are still many problems in the practice and implementation,especially the phenomenon that the after-school service has been narrowed,and it is only regarded as a kind of trustee-care service,ignoring the important educational value of after-school service.In order to better improve the quality of after-school service and effectively effect the after-school service education function on the growth of students,this study will investigate the current situation of the after-school service education function.This research mainly adopts the methods of literature,questionnaire,interview and field observation to investigate the after-school service education work of L primary School in Chengdu.First,by combing the literature of the current domestic and foreign research status of the after-school service,the research topic of this paper is selected,and combined with the after-school service related policy documents to establish the basis for the topic selection,research purpose and significance.Secondly,based on the theory of all-round human development,total quality management and synergy theory,this paper provides solid theoretical support for the research.Thirdly,through questionnaire survey and interview,we understand the current situation of after-school service in urban primary schools and the effect of the education function,explore the problems existing in the process of the development of after-school service and education function combined with practical observation,and make in-depth analysis of these problems and put forward effective suggestions to improve the quality of after-school service.To achieve the purpose of after-school service to help students develop in an all-round way.Through investigation and research,it is found that the main dilemmas facing urban primary school after-school service education are: teachers’ insufficient understanding of service objectives,high work pressure,parents’ cognitive deviation of after-school service,insufficient participation,loose after-school service discipline,poor state of teachers and students’ activities,low utilization of off-campus resources,and unsatisfactory education effect.In order to give full play to the after-school service education function of urban primary schools effectively,the author analyzes the difficulties existing in the after-school service education function of urban primary schools from five aspects: education concept,education content,teaching staff,management mechanism and cooperation,and proposes the following improvement measures: To understand the after-school service function attributes with the correct after-school service education concept,to build the after-school service education carrier with the perfect after-school service content system,to create professional after-school service teachers actively participate in the education work,to do a good job in the whole process of after-school service management as the direction to improve the effectiveness of service education,to unite various forces to participate in after-school service to play the synergistic education effect. |
