As a model of professional ethics,an exemplary educator,and a teaching expert in the education industry,the personal and professional growth of a specially-honored teacher plays a positive and leading role in promoting the revitalization of rural education,the construction of the teacher workforce,and the professional development of ordinary teachers.Based on the definition of key concepts such as distinguished teachers and teacher professional growth,this study used Citespace software to select literature on teacher professional growth from domestic and foreign sources and explored its development trends.It was found that the international academic community lacks discussions on the mutual influence of daily life and professional life in the theory of career life cycle stages,and the theory of psychological development stages mainly discusses the relationship between teacher professional development and psychological development from a psychological perspective,while the theory of teacher socialization development stages overlooks the interaction between individual teachers and professional structural factors.Domestic scholars focus on the professional development of teacher social structure and the growth and progress of teacher groups,but overlook the micro-level professional development process of individual teachers.Considering that there is no equivalent concept of specially-honored teachers in foreign countries,this study chooses to focus on the influencing factors of professional growth of specially-honored teachers in China.The research indicates that in addition to external forces such as the state,society,and schools,the professional growth of specially-honored teachers requires internal factors such as their own educational concepts,beliefs,emotions,and self-awareness of professional development.This study focuses on an elementary school Chinese language teacher who holds the title of “Special Grade Teacher.” Guided by policies such as the “Comprehensive and Deepening Reform Plan for Teacher Team Building in the New Era”,“Excellent Teacher Training Program 2.0,”and “Plan to Strengthen Basic Education Teacher Force ”,the study is based on the theoretical logic of subject education,self-leadership theory,and the theory of teacher’s professional development stages.The researcher has chosen Ye Lan’s theory of “self-renewal”as the basis for categorization.Narrative research method was employed,and through over a year of on-site observations,interviews,and collection of relevant texts and images,the study provides a detailed description of the professional growth of this special grade teacher,including her accumulation during the learning stage,the “survival” crisis when entering the workplace,the experiences of curriculum reform,classroom teaching,environment,team,and opportunities during the stage of task focus,as well as the dynamic and spiral changes of the internal structural elements of teacher’s professionalism during the stage of self-renewal,including high-end training and social work tasks such as serving as a national party delegate,a delegate of the National People’s Congress,and a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference at each stage of her educational journey.The study found that the personal professional growth of specially-honored teacher is influenced by external factors such as family,school,expert guidance,leadership support,and various levels of training activities.However,more importantly,it is determined by internal factors such as their own professional learning,teaching research and reflection,educational ideals and beliefs,and self-awareness of professional development.specially-honored teacher use platforms such as master teacher studios to deliver lectures,provide training,and engage in teaching research to improve the skills of local ordinary teachers,and their personal educational sentiments and ideals have a contagious effect on ordinary teachers,providing valuable references for their professional growth.This is a common characteristic of most specially-honored teacher.Moreover,the professional development model of the subject of this study not only involves being a special grade teacher,but also having a certain influence in society,providing another possibility for the professional growth of other teachers.In summary,this study,based on the background of high-quality development of education in the new era,analyzes the internal factors and external environment in the professional growth process of distinguished teachers,providing valuable references for teacher team building and educational reform.
