Scientific inquiry is the core content of science education,scientific inquiry activities are the main way for teachers to teach and students to learn science,and the quality of scientific inquiry activity design in science textbooks is directly related to the effectiveness of teaching scientific inquiry activities.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the design characteristics of scientific inquiry activities in science textbooks and the degree of achievement of educational goals.Based on the constructivism learning theory,this research takes the scientific inquiry activities designed by the physics part of the Zhejiang edition of the junior high school science textbook as the research sample,The researcher first adopted content analysis to investigate the textbook scientific inquiry activity text in helping students to build scientific curriculim concept,exercise students scientific inquiry process skills,promote students' understanding of the realization of three aspects.Secondly,in order to understand the research problems more fully and deeply,the auther applied questionnaire survey method to explore the implementation status of scitentific inquiry activities in the textbooks by the frontline teachers using Zhejiang education science textbooks.The research revealed that:(1)The scientific curriculum concept of scientific inquiry activity design in textbook is basically consistent with the curriculum standards;(2)The design of scientific inquiry activities in textbooks cannot evenly exercise students 'scientific inquiry process skills,and there are few inquiry skills about cultivating students' higher-order thinking;(3)The design of scientific inquiry activities in textbooks is not conducive to students' deep understanding of scientific inquiry itself;(4)Part of the scientific inquiry activities designed in textbooks are difficult to carry out in the actual teaching.This research shows inplications for the compilation of scientific inquiry activities in textbooks:(1)Appropriate integration of scientific inquiry activities in textbooks;(2)Balance the presentation of scientific inquiry skills in textbooks;(3)To effectively improve the open level of scientific inquiry activities;(4)Pay attention to the production and life of scientific inquiry activities.
