Research On The Collaborative Mechanism Between Off-Campus Discipline Bases And Related Disciplines

A new "Double First-Class" construction scheme has raised the importance of discipline construction to a new level.Gathering resources to build world-class disciplines has become the focus of the university.As a discipline-led physical organizational system platform,an off-campus discipline base is essential for converging resources from related disciplines and a vital platform to meet government and industry innovation needs.The off-campus discipline bases and the related disciplines are two equal subjects that take on heterogeneous resources,and they complement each other’s strengths and co-exist.However,the dependence on resources from the external environment made the collaborative interaction between the two difficult.Therefore,it is necessary to clarify their interaction and build a collaborative mechanism to provide a reference for their collaborative development.The study focuses on "how to build the collaborative mechanism between offcampus discipline bases and related disciplines to improve the effectiveness of their collaborative development." Firstly,the study conducts a systematic literature review to review the research results on the collaborative mechanism comprehensively.The study summarizes the potential collaborative elements between off-campus discipline bases and related disciplines,and constructs an analytical framework of the collaborative mechanism between two in four dimensions: dynamic mechanism,strategic mechanism,management mechanism,and guarantee mechanism.Secondly,the study takes symbiosis theory and resource dependence theory as the perspective and analyses six typical cases,such as the Innovation Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine of Zhejiang University,which is analyzed in combination with the analytical framework.Then the study summarizes the key elements of the collaborative mechanism between off-campus discipline bases and related disciplines,and revises the analytical framework of the collaborative mechanism between the two.Finally,the study quantitatively analyses the critical elements of the collaborative mechanism summarized in the case study.Through exploratory factor analysis and linear regression,it identifies thirteen elements,including goal collaboration,as the core elements of the collaborative mechanism between the off-campus discipline bases and the related disciplines.Based on the above discussion,the study finally constructs a model of collaborative mechanism between off-campus discipline bases and related disciplines in terms of dynamic collaborative mechanism,strategic collaborative mechanism,management collaborative mechanism,and guarantee collaborative mechanism.Then the study puts forward corresponding suggestions for optimizing the shortcomings of the collaborative development practice between the two.The main contributions of this study include: Firstly,the study builds an analytical framework of the collaborative mechanism between off-campus discipline bases and related disciplines from a micro perspective,which enhances the theoretical explanatory power of the collaborative development of the two;Secondly,the study constructs a model for the collaborative mechanism between off-campus discipline bases and related disciplines,which provides a reference path for the collaborative development of off-campus discipline bases and related disciplines;Thirdly,at the practical level,the study offers valuable enlightenment to enhance the effectiveness of collaborative development between off-campus discipline bases and related disciplines:(1)Strengthen the dynamic collaborative mechanism and gather collaborative force;(2)Deepen the strategic collaborative mechanism and enhance the collaborative quality;(3)Ameliorate the management collaborative mechanism and improve the collaborative efficiency;(4)Optimize the guarantee collaborative mechanism and lay a solid foundation for coordination.
