development.However,at present,there is still a mismatch between the research on adaptive sports and the sense of social participation of people with disabilities in China.The main reasons for this are the relatively lagging theoretical system of adaptive sports,weak disciplinary infrastructure,and unresolved basic problems,which have led to the inability of disciplinary development to meet the growing demand for physical exercise by people with disabilities.The United States is a country with relatively rich experience in Adapted Physical Activity discipline construction.Comparing the situation of Adapted Physical Activity discipline construction between China and the United States,identifying the shortcomings of Adapted Physical Activity discipline construction in China and proposing future construction suggestions is a necessary and urgent task.This article comprehensively utilizes methods such as literature research,social network analysis,bibliometric analysis,comparative analysis,and expert interviews to conduct a comparative study on the construction of Adapted Physical Activity disciplines in China and the United States.The research results show that:1.Adapted Physical Activity disciplinary construction can be analyzed from three levels: "disciplinary knowledge","disciplinary system",and "disciplinary organization".Disciplinary knowledge includes theoretical system,knowledge circulation,and knowledge content,disciplinary system includes professional courses,disciplinary exchanges,and academic journals,and disciplinary organization includes organizing teams,organizational vitality,and organizational cooperation.2.From the perspective of disciplinary knowledge construction,the theoretical system of American Adapted Physical Activity disciplines has demonstrated strong logic and continuity;The circulation of subject knowledge has formed a trend of focusing on sports science and actively supplementing disciplines in various fields;The research content involves various aspects such as physical function,body tissue,and external intervention,forming a research system that jointly promotes the development of sports for people with disabilities from multiple perspectives.The research on the theoretical system of Adapted Physical Activity in China has entered a period of rapid development,and various experts and scholars have different opinions on the theoretical system of Adapted Physical Activity;The circulation of subject knowledge has formed a social science cluster dominated by physical education and a medical cluster dominated by pediatrics;The research mainly focuses on "disabled persons","autistic patients" and "cerebral palsy patients",and uses the experimental means of "early intervention" and "Activities of daily living(adl)" to ensure the effectiveness of rehabilitation activities for the disabled,and propose the construction of rehabilitation models.3.From the perspective of disciplinary system construction,the United States Adapted Physical Activity has formed a relatively complete professional and curriculum system;Adapted Physical Activity The number of academic forums is large and influential;Professional journals such as the 《 ADAPTED PHYSICAL ACTIVITY QUARTERLY》have a certain level of authority in the industry.At present,only some universities in China offer Adapted Physical Activity professional courses,and in the master’s and doctoral stages,they are mostly conducted in the form of research directions;The number of Adapted Physical Activity academic forums is small and their influence is not significant;The journals that carry Adapted Physical Activity research results are mainly concentrated in medical,special education,and sports journals.4.From the perspective of disciplinary organization construction,the research team of the United States Adapted Physical Activity includes universities,hospitals,and affiliated medical centers under universities;Scientific research institutions can basically ensure the output of achievements every year,showing a relatively "active" state as a whole;The discipline has formed a complete disciplinary cooperation system,and there are close connections between various types of scientific research institutions.Our country’s Adapted Physical Activity research teams mainly exist in sports colleges,teacher training colleges,and hospitals at all levels;Scientific research institutions adapt to the significant difference in output of sports achievements year by year,and the overall scientific research vitality is relatively "dull";Organize team collaboration to form a school collaboration faction,a medical research faction,and a school medical co research faction.5.Through the comparison of Adapted Physical Activity subject construction between China and the United States,it is analyzed that the "short board" of Adapted Physical Activity subject construction in China mainly lies in the fact that the one-way track of subject knowledge leads to the relative limitation of subject content,the weak construction of subject system leads to the difficult rise of subject status,and the lack of discipline organization construction leads to the failure to reflect the subject height.6.In order to make up for the above "weaknesses",China’s Adapted Physical Activity discipline construction in the future
