Mei Yiqi’s Ideology Of Moral Education And Its Contemporary Revelations

With the rapid development of China’s economy and the continuous progress of education,moral education is playing an increasingly important role in the current society.However,the current practice of moral education faces many challenges.One of the important issues is how to turn the concept of moral education into concrete educational practice.As a famous educator in the history of modern higher education in China,Mei Yiqi’s thoughts and practices in the field of moral education have profound inspiration and significance for our contemporary moral education work.The article is guided by the standpoint and method of historical materialism,combining the methods of documentary research,historical theory,analysis and induction,and comparison of figures to study Mei Yiqi’s thoughts on moral education and its contemporary inspiration.In the first chapter,shows a comprehensive and systematic examination of the historical development of Mei Yiqi’s moral education idea based on a historical perspective.In particular,it provides an in-depth analysis of the background of Mei Yiqi’s thoughts on moral education,demonstrating the distinctive period of its formation;a specific explanation of the theoretical origins of Mei Yiqi’s thoughts on moral education,highlighting the profound theoretical nature of its formation;and a comprehensive analysis of the refinement and development of Mei Yiqi’s thoughts on moral education,reflecting the rich practical nature of its formation.In the second chapter,on the basis of a full analysis of the historical background to Mei Yiqi’s ideas on moral education,the goals of Mei Yiqi’s moral education thought are established as the building of a healthy personality,the improvement of social morals and the cultivation of useful talents for society.In order to achieve this goal,Mei Yiqi focused on six aspects of moral education,namely,positive school spirit,rational patriotism,the labour education,the relationship of studying with a good teacher,the assistance of ’good friends’,and the group education.In the third chapter,gives a detailed investigation of Mei Yiqi’s philosophical perspectives on moral education.In particular,it is noted that Mei Yiqi’s traits and approach include inclusive,merging East and West,leading by example,encouraging morality via education,and the moral education at the forefront of other education.It also highlights the traits of Mei Yiqi’s moral education concept in comparison to the traits and personalities of the top Chinese and Western educators,drawing attention to the similarities between them.In the fourth chapter,In order to enrich and improve the system of moral education thoughts in the new era and provide useful reference for the development of contemporary moral education thoughts in China,the exploration of Mei Yiqi’s ideas on moral education is combined with the actual situation of current education.
