Based on the importance of the Chinese course standard to the whole book reading teaching, the lack of the student’s main body status in the whole book reading teaching, and the mode of the literary circle meeting the needs of the whole book reading teaching, etc.,the application of the literature circle model to the teaching of Chinese reading in primary schools can enrich the relevant theoretical research, improve the students’ status as the main body, and expand the teaching model of teachers.Based on the cooperative learning theory and reader response theory, this study explores the appropriateness of applying the literary circle model to the whole book reading teaching.Using the method of action research, the students of six(1)class and six(2)class of S primary school in Z City were selected as the research objects. Before the action research, through classroom observation, questionnaires, tests and interviews,it is found that students’ reading interest is not high, reading habits are not good, reading ability is weak.Based on the above problems, the author made a general plan of action research, designed a framework of reading teaching based on literature circle model, and carried out three rounds of action research.Through the three-round action research,we can see that, firstly, the literary circle model can effectively improve the students’ abilities of searching and extracting, reasoning and judging, integrating and explaining, evaluating and appreciating, etc.,also trained students to ask questions, language skills, organization and coordination ability.Secondly, the model from the students’ attention to reading,personal,self-confidence and satisfaction of the four dimensions to enhance students’ reading interest in the book.Thirdly, the model can cultivate students’ good reading habits by improving their reading behavior, increasing reading frequency and increasing reading amount. However, this model has higher requirements on teachers’ own teaching ability, and there are still some deficiencies in the research due to the limitation of researchers’ own teaching ability. |
