The biology discipline’s core competencies were the research focus in secondary school biology education.This study aimed to assist students in implementing these competencies and developing a concept of life.Primarily,the following tasks were accomplished:Initially,the researchers used the literature method to sort out the research status related to the main-line teaching and life concept based on constructivism,cognitive structure,and Gestalt psychology theories.They analyzed the life views in the required high school biology textbook and constructed the "high school biology core teaching implementation process based on life views".Next,a questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate the current situation of high school students’ biology learning.The results show that due to the fragmentation of biological knowledge,the teaching mode adopted by teachers is not suitable for students’ learning situation,and students lack good learning methods etc.Students had difficulties with biology.That also had difficulted received positive feedback,and better learning experience,so that the interest in biology learning was reduced.Finally,using class A as a case study,the researchers conducted action research utilizing the "high school biology core teaching implementation process based on life views".Using Win steps software and conceptual problem solving,the formation of life views among students was tested,the feasibility of the main-line teaching implementation process was analyzed,and improvements were made.Analysis of the student test results revealed that class A,the experimental group,performed better than the control groups(class B and class C)regarding test scores and conceptual problem-solving.The students with life concept at level three and four in class A increased from28.57% and 0.00% to 36.73% and 16.33%,respectively.The overall conceptual level also increased from level two to level three.In contrast,the overall conceptual level of classes B and C remained at level two.Specifically,the students in level three in classes B and C decreased from 34.69% and 36.73% to 30.61%,while the students in level four increased from 2.04% to8.16% and 18.37%,respectively.After comparing the progress of life views among the classes,it was found that class A(taught by the researcher using main-line teaching)> class C(taught by a secondary school teacher using traditional teaching)= average progress for the grade > class B(taught by the researcher using traditional teaching).After removing the interference factors of the researcher’s teaching ability,it was shown that main-line teaching was more conducive to cultivating students’ life views than traditional teaching.Research conclusion: this study concluded that utilizing the "high school biology main-line teaching implementation process based on life views" to cultivate students’ life views was feasible,and there had been a significant improvement in students’ life view levels after the implementation of the main-line teaching process. |
