The Opinions on Accelerating the Reform and Development of Postgraduate Education in the New Era,jointly issued by the Ministry of Education and three other ministries in 2020,clearly puts forward that the curriculum system should be optimized,the teaching methods should be innovated,and the cultivation of innovative ability should be highlighted.Curriculum learning is the core content of postgraduate education and the central link to ensure the quality of professional master’s education.As the direct subject of curriculum construction,students’ development needs reflect their potential requirements for the effectiveness of curriculum education,which is the key to the quality of curriculum construction and an important factor that cannot be ignored in all aspects of curriculum construction.Based on the Marxist theory of comprehensive human development,humanistic curriculum theory and customer satisfaction theory,this study takes local colleges and universities in Shaanxi Province as an example,and uses literature analysis,questionnaire survey,interview method and statistical analysis method to explore the optimization path of professional master’s degree curriculum construction under the guidance of students’ development needs.Firstly,the special characteristics of the curriculum construction of professional master’s degree students are analyzed from the theoretical level,and the natural nature and logical direction of the curriculum construction of professional master’s degree students under the guidance of students’ development needs are clarified;secondly,the realistic needs of professional master’s degree students’ participation in the curriculum construction in Shaanxi Province are systematically analyzed by using questionnaire survey method and interview method,taking 20 professional master’s degree granting institutions in Shaanxi Province as examples.The main problems of the current professional master’s degree program construction are summarized in detail in terms of student participation and specific curriculum settings.The reasons for this are,firstly,that the curriculum organization focuses on social needs and weakens students’ development,secondly,that the monopoly of school power causes students to lack curriculum power,and thirdly,that the students’ curriculum role is lost and it is difficult to play their main role in the construction of the curriculum.Based on the above research,three paths are proposed for the optimization of professional master’s degree courses under the guidance of students’ development needs:first,to innovate the educational concept of institutions and respond to students’ needs efficiently;second,to optimize the construction of curriculum system and promote students’ personal development;third,to play the main role of students and improve their own participation level.This is the essential requirement to improve the quality of professional master’s education and return to individual development in the new era,as well as the mission of higher education to re-examine the value of human existence and development needs in society.
