With the continuous expansion of the scale of professional degree postgraduate education,the quality of its training has also attracted widespread attention from all walks of life.Improving the training quality of professional degree postgraduate education has become an important issue in the reform and development of postgraduate education in the new era.Professional degree postgraduate education points to specialized occupational fields and is career-oriented,aiming to cultivate high-level applied professionals who can creatively solve practical problems in the industry.Practical ability training is the key to improve the quality of professional degree postgraduate research training.Based on this,this research will focus on the cultivation of professional degree master students’ practical ability,explore the core issue of "how to cultivate professional degree master students’ practical ability",and raise the following specific questions around this core issue: First,what kind of practical skills should professional degree master students have? Second,how is the practical ability of professional degree master students cultivated? Third,what outstanding problems and contradictions still exist in the actual practice ability training process?In order to further focus on the research scope,this study selects the full-time engineering masters of T University as the main research object.Based on the theory of tacit knowledge,situational learning theory and practical knowledge production,the interview method and text analysis method are used to analyze the practice of engineering masters.First of all,based on the new demand characteristics of modern engineering reform for engineering professionals and the requirements for the cultivation of engineering master’s ability at the national and university levels,the main framework of engineering master’s practical ability is presented,including engineering cognitive ability and engineering application ability.There are two first-level dimensions,five second-level dimensions and fifteen third-level dimensions below them,namely,the ability to acquire knowledge,engineering design and development capabilities,professional and technical capabilities,engineering implementation and management capabilities,and engineering research and innovation capabilities.Secondly,based on interviews with engineering majors,taking the whole process of engineering majors education as the research period,it is found that the cultivation of engineering masters’ practical ability is a "engineering problem-oriented,from practical preparation to practical action," Then to the spiral upward process of “practical reflection”,this process can be further divided into three stages: practical preparation stage based on engineering cognition → practical action stage based on engineering application → practical reflection stage based on practical experience,each stage corresponds to key training activities and main training practices Ability to analyze the specific performance of practical ability training.Thirdly,starting from the whole process and training activities of practical ability training,this paper investigates the supporting factors for the practical ability training of engineering majors.Finally,in order to better promote the cultivation of engineering master’s practical ability,and further explore the problems and deficiencies behind the training process,it is found that there are four typical contradictions in the process of engineering master’s practical ability cultivation,which are: knowledge The contradiction between practicality,situationality and the academic and theoreticalization of course teaching,the contradiction between the connotative requirements of professional practice and the representational results,the contradiction between the idealized training mode of the dual-tutorial system and the formalized implementation process.The contradiction is the contradiction between the application orientation of the dissertation and the academic evaluation standard.At the same time,it puts forward specific suggestions for the main training issues,and tries to discuss the training of professional degree talents from the perspectives of essential attributes and classification views,in order to provide relevant reference and reference for the practical ability training of professional degree master students,and improve the cultivation quality of professional degree talents. |
