The convening of the 2023 National Education Work Conference and important discussions on education work have endowed China’s higher education with rich ideological connotations.With the development of the times,the cultivation of core competencies among primary and secondary school students is increasingly valued,and the cultivation of core competencies among primary and secondary school students requires teachers who are on the front line to carry out specific tasks.As the main body of future teachers in local undergraduate colleges,normal students have become a key factor in the quality of core competencies,and the teaching ability of normal students is the key to completing this task.In this context,this study sorted out relevant literature,policies,and theoretical foundations on the cultivation of teaching ability of normal students under core literacy education both domestically and internationally,and determined to design a survey questionnaire and interview outline based on the "Standards for Excellent Teacher Teaching Ability" as the main standard.It conducted an in-depth investigation on the current situation and cultivation of teaching ability development of normal students in five local undergraduate universities in S Province,Based on a thorough analysis of the current situation and existing problems in the development of teaching abilities of local undergraduate normal students in S Province,the causes of the problems are identified,and relevant theoretical achievements are combined to prudently propose strategies for cultivating teaching abilities of local undergraduate normal students under core literacy education.The aim is to make certain contributions to the cultivation of teaching abilities of local undergraduate normal students in China from both theoretical and practical perspectives.Through investigation,it was found that local undergraduate colleges have achieved certain good results in cultivating the teaching ability of normal students,which is reflected in many aspects of the development of normal students’ teaching ability: being able to develop and cultivate relevant courses for core competencies;The design of teaching objectives and teaching processes is basically reasonable;Strong ability to use teaching resources;Able to create a good learning environment;Inquiry learning and cooperative learning are well carried out;Support students to have a strong sense of self-directed learning;Sufficient knowledge reserves for teaching implementation;Have a general understanding of teaching evaluation knowledge;Strong awareness of diversified teaching evaluation,etc.However,there are also some problems in the development of teaching abilities for normal students in local undergraduate colleges,specifically manifested as: the quality of courses developed to cultivate core competencies is not high;The design of teaching objectives and teaching processes lacks precision;Insufficient ability to allocate teaching resources;Teaching implementation activities still need to be improved;The actual teaching implementation ability still needs to be improved;The ability of teaching evaluation still needs to be strengthened;The practical operation ability of diversified teaching evaluation is weak.Starting from the need to solve the problem of teaching ability development for normal students in local undergraduate colleges and universities,this study systematically analyzes the reasons for the formation of teaching ability problems for normal students in local undergraduate colleges and universities from the perspectives of curriculum,teaching,collaborative education,and normal students themselves through literature research and empirical research.The main reasons include unreasonable school curriculum,low quality of practical teaching,insufficient innovation in teacher teaching,and incomplete collaborative education mechanisms There are five aspects to the lack of subjectivity in the professional development of normal university students.Based on the problems found in the survey and their causes,this study suggests that the effectiveness of cultivating teaching abilities of local normal university students can be optimized from five aspects.Firstly,optimize the curriculum to promote the comprehensive development of normal school students;The second is to improve the quality of teaching and promote the improvement of teaching abilities of normal school students;The third is to promote teachers to change their concepts and enhance their teaching innovation ability;The fourth is to improve the collaborative education mechanism and promote the effective improvement of teaching abilities of normal university students;The fifth is to establish a lifelong learning awareness and strengthen the cultivation of normal school students’ independent development ability. |
