With the continuous reform and development of education in our country,school physical education work is increasingly valued by the state and various sectors of society,providing new opportunities for the development of physical education teachers,but also facing new pressures and challenges.As the main force of school physical education work,physical education teachers shoulder the heavy responsibility of promoting students’ physical and mental health.Moderate occupational pressure is beneficial for the professional development of physical education teachers,while excessive occupational pressure can reduce teachers’ sense of professional identity,leading to negative professional psychological phenomena such as fatigue,disgust,and apathy in their work.On the contrary,physical education teachers with a high sense of professional identity often develop a positive psychological state.By exploring the current situation of occupational pressure and identity among middle school physical education teachers in Nanning,as well as the relationship between the two,we can actively promote the construction of the school physical education teacher team and the development of physical education work.Research purpose: To explore the current situation and relationship between occupational stress and professional identity of middle school physical education teachers in Nanning City.Research method: Using literature review method to sort out the concepts involved in this study and the current research status at home and abroad,laying a theoretical foundation;Using interview and questionnaire methods,this study conducted a survey and analysis on occupational stress and identity among 300 middle school physical education teachers in Nanning City.Research results:(1)The occupational stress of middle school physical education teachers in Nanning City is ranked from high to low as follows:occupational needs factor,work factor,exam factor,parent factor,and student factor.(2)The professional identity of middle school physical education teachers in Nanning City,from high to low,is as follows: value identity,investment identity,ability identity,sustained identity,and emotional identity.(3)The occupational stress and identity levels of physical education teachers in middle schools in Nanning City show gender differences,age differences,teaching experience differences,marital status differences,professional titles differences,urban-rural differences,and academic stage differences.However,there is no significant difference in variables such as average monthly income between the two.(4)There is a significant negative correlation between occupational stress and professional identity of middle school physical education teachers in Nanning.Regression analysis further indicates that the occupational stress of middle school physical education teachers in Nanning has a negative predictive effect on professional identity.Summary: Physical education teachers in primary and secondary schools in Nanning City face varying degrees of professional pressure,and there are also significant differences in their professional identity.Schools should pay attention to the sense of achievement and professional development of physical education teachers,care for them emotionally,reduce their professional stress level,and enhance their professional identity.
