Research On Cultivating The Spirit Of Historical Initiative Among College Students In The New Era

The spirit of historical initiative is an important proposition put forward by the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19 th CPC Central Committee,an important manifestation of the Chinese people’s spiritual transformation from passivity to initiative,and an important spiritual key for the Party and the country to be able to lead the people to ride the waves of history,sing and march forward,make significant achievements and create great undertakings.The spirit of historical initiative was formed in a special historical period and contains rich spiritual connotations.It is the crystallization of the Chinese Communists’ insistence on Marxism as their guide since the founding of the Party,drawing on the excellent Chinese traditional culture,refining,struggling and innovating in practice,reflecting the Chinese Communists’ high historical consciousness,firm historical confidence,strong historical commitment and great historical creation,and is an important spiritual guide for achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation has entered an irreversible historical process,based on a century of unprecedented changes,in accordance with the laws of social and historical spirit of historical initiative,is the inevitable choice to advance a new journey,overcome all the risks and challenges,and build a new era of success.As the main force to achieve the second century goal and the backbone of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,the cultivation of the spirit of historical initiative is an inevitable requirement of the development of the times and an important issue of ideological and political education in colleges and universities,and it is also the key for the new generation of college students to realize their personal ideal,grow into the new man of the times and assume the mission and responsibility.Based on the background of the new era,this paper defines and summarizes the concept and connotation of the spirit of historical initiative according to the characteristics of the times and the characteristics of students,and discusses four aspects: theoretical basis and practical significance of cultivating the spirit of historical initiative among college students,investigation and analysis of the current situation,existing shortcomings and reasons,and response strategies.The preface mainly elaborates the reasons and significance of the research,the current situation of domestic and foreign research,the definition of the core concepts,the important and difficult points of the research,the innovation points and the research methods,laying the foundation for the further development of the research.The body of the paper consists of four parts,as follows: the first part expounds the theoretical foundation and practical significance of cultivating the spirit of historical initiative among college students in the new era.The first part is the theoretical foundation,including the important discussions on the spirit of historical initiative by the classical writers of Marxism and the Communist Party of China,as well as the discussions on the spirit of historical initiative in the excellent Chinese traditional culture.The second is the practical significance,that is,the cultivation of the spirit of historical initiative among college students in the new era is necessary for the formation of the correct historical outlook of college students,the need to enhance the "four selfconfidence" of students,the need to strengthen the mission and responsibility of students,and the need to continuously deepen the cultivation of the new man of the times.The second part is to analyze the current situation of the survey on the cultivation of the spirit of historical initiative among college students in the new era.The questionnaire design and its basic situation are clearly explained,and the reality of the historical initiative spirit of college students in the new era is examined from the aspects of knowledge,emotion,will and action.The third part summarizes the existing deficiencies in the cultivation of the historical initiative spirit of college students in the new era according to the current situation of the historical initiative spirit of college students in the new era,and analyzes the main reasons for the existing deficiencies.The fourth part is to explore the response strategies for the cultivation of historical initiative among college students in the new era.According to the research results,based on the existing problems and their main causes,we propose countermeasures in four aspects: cultivation contents,cultivation methods,cultivation environment and students’ self-education,so as to promote the cultivation of history initiative spirit of college students in the new era and enhance the effectiveness of the cultivation of history initiative spirit of college students in the new era.
