With the development of science and technology and the global popularization of the Internet,the new education concept guided by advanced science and technology in the field of education has gradually come into people’s vision.Flipped classroom combined with small-group teaching model is emerging under this background.On the one hand,it conforms to the development of The Times,on the other hand,it is the trend of teaching reform and meets the needs of students for innovation in teaching methods and methods.In the practice of table tennis in college sports,especially in the learning process of such basic technical movements as forehand attack and backhand push and block,how to let students master these technical movements more effectively in class has been the focus of table tennis teachers’ research.Therefore,a teaching model combining flipped classroom and small-group teaching is introduced into college sports table tennis,so that students can first establish action representation for technical movements that are difficult to grasp and understand,and master basic skills faster within the limited time of table tennis class.While optimizing the classroom model of table tennis teaching,it also discusses the influence of the teaching model on students’ sports interest,basic skill level of table tennis and cooperative learning ability in college sports table tennis,so as to provide some ideas for the innovation and reform of table tennis teaching model.The research methods mainly include literature method,investigation method,experiment method,mathematical statistics method and comparative analysis method.The experimental group and control group were selected from two natural parallel classes of table tennis elective course in Yan ’an University by random sampling.Before the experiment,the physical quality,interest in sports,achievement of basic table tennis technology,achievement of basic table tennis technology evaluation and students’ cooperation ability of the two classes were tested in the experimental group and the control group.It was concluded that there was no significant difference between the two classes before the experiment,so as to ensure the rigor of the experiment.In the experiment,the experimental group adopted flipped classroom combined with small group teaching mode,and the control group adopted traditional physical education teaching mode.After 32 class hours of teaching experiment,the two groups of students were tested on their interest in sports learning,the achievement of meeting the standards of basic skills of table tennis,the achievement of basic technical evaluation and the ability to cooperate.After comparing and analyzing the experimental data of the two groups before and after the experiment,the following conclusions were drawn:(1)After the flipped classroom combined with the small-group teaching model,the experimental group students’ interest in sports was significantly improved;The interest of the control group was improved after the traditional teaching mode,but the effect was not obvious.(2)In the teaching of table tennis in college sports,whether the experimental group adopts the teaching mode of flipped classroom combined with small groups or the traditional teaching mode used by the control group,students’ basic technical achievement and technical assessment can be improved,but the improvement range of students in the experimental group is greater than that in the control group.The average scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group.(3)In the questionnaire of flipped classroom combined with small group teaching,it was found that this teaching model improved students’ sense of cooperation,communication and interaction between teachers and students,and good teaching evaluation.Students also expressed the hope to continue to use flipped classroom combined with small group in future physical education.(4)The application of flipped classroom combined with small-group teaching mode in college sports table tennis teaching can improve students’ sports cooperation ability.Compared with traditional teaching mode,flipped classroom combined with small-group teaching mode is more conducive to the improvement of students’ sports cooperation ability.
