Revolutionary historical novels have always been an important part of Chinese teaching.The whole book reading is a learning task group of the expanded learning task group of the Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022).This task group specifies the learning content of students.It is clear that reading revolutionary historical novels can enable students to experience the patriotism and personality charm of revolutionary heroes,thus improving their cognitive ability and enriching the spiritual world.The whole book reading teaching of revolutionary historical novels not only helps students inherit revolutionary historical culture,but also helps students improve their core literacy.But at present,the teaching of reading the whole book about revolutionary historical novels is still relatively scarce.Therefore,this paper aims to provide some inspiration for teachers,to help them to better read the revolutionary historical novels,so as to improve their teaching ability to read the whole book teaching.Through questionnaire survey and teacher interview,this paper discusses the reading teaching status of "Red Rock" in detail,and makes a systematic data analysis of the obtained data,in order to better understand the current reading situation.On this basis,it is concluded that students have some problems,such as low interest in text reading,strong purpose and utility,lack of reading guidance and little reading effect;teachers have poor teaching planning,simple teaching process and less practice design.This paper puts forward the corresponding solution strategy,including three aspects,that is,to stimulate interest in reading,initial arrange teaching content,and formulate teaching methods.The teaching objective should consider the reading requirements,student situation and teaching material;the teaching content should be selected from the recommended reading list and the teaching content;the teaching method should play a substantial role in students’ learning,and improve the reading effect from three aspects: setting teaching task,setting problem orientation and creating learning situation.Finally,the whole book of "Red Rock" reading teaching practice.The teaching design of Red Rock is based on three aspects: "Read through the" Red Rock ": Focus on combing and integration","Reading" Red Rock ": Character-centered" "Reading" Red Rock ": Show the results of reading",and from the starting point of students,flexible use of teaching materials and pay attention to learning guidance,respect the subject difference of the two aspects of teaching reflection,the teaching evaluation is conducted from three aspects of evaluation subject,evaluation content and evaluation method.
