Due to the current teaching characteristics of the non-circulating circulation of teachers in middle and high schools,the problem of teaching and learning mathematics in middle and high schools has become a long-standing challenge for many educational experts,teachers and students.Equations and inequalities are not only important contents in the junior high school mathematics curriculum,but also throughout the entire high school mathematics curriculum,often linked with other knowledge points such as functions,derivatives,series,etc.The examination methods are flexible and changeable,and require a high level of students’ ability.The mathematical ideas contained therein,such as the idea of function,the idea of classification and discussion,the idea of combining numbers and shapes,and the idea of the whole,are also very important and relate to many chapters of high school mathematics.But the focus of mathematics teaching in junior and senior high schools on this part of knowledge is very different,and the disconnect is serious.This paper uses literature analysis,questionnaire survey,interview method,assessment survey method,case study method and other research methods.Through the questionnaire survey of senior students and interview records of mathematics teachers in junior and senior high schools,we found that the reasons why students have difficulties in learning equations and inequalities are:(1)There is a big difference in the difficulty of the content of middle and high school mathematics materials,and there is a big gap between the requirements of students in the Chinese and high school exams;(2)Some junior and senior high school teachers have a weak sense of articulation,focusing only on the section they teach and not understanding the students’ learning conditions;(3)Students are influenced by the pre-intake inhibition of middle school knowledge and bring their middle school study habits to their high school studies.Through a survey of senior students’ test papers,we found that students’ difficulties in learning inequalities of equations are:(1)Not skilled in the idea of functional equations,still rigidly apply the formula method to solve problems;(2)Cannot apply knowledge related to decomposition by decimal multiplication,Veda’s theorem;(3)Classification discussions are often confusingly categorized and lack a sense of the whole;(4)Absolute values and problems with parameters are a major difficulty;(5)Poor computing skills.Through the analysis of the survey results and my own internship experience,the author proposes the following teaching suggestions :(1)Do a good top-level design,narrow the span of middle and high school curriculum standards,and reduce the difficulty gap of teaching materials;(2)Teachers must have a sense of articulation,which is the ideological basis for guiding their teaching behavior;(3)Teachers should take the initiative to analyze the teaching materials and analyze the learning situation to understand the teaching contents and the cognitive level of students in both junior and senior high school;(4)Students should consciously discard the bad study habits in junior high school and form the study habit of active study and hard work;(5)Focus on the learning of mathematical ideas;(6)Consciously enhance your arithmetic skills. |
