Research On University Rituals From The Perspective Of Cultural Anthropology

Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC),the status of university ceremony in schools has been gradually promoted and has become an important part of university culture.Although the external form of university ceremony has great differences in different time and space circumstances,it is all composed of certain basic structural elements or symbols,with its fixed logical relationship and reflects its internal cultural connotation and educational value.This paper attempts to find the changes and changes in the changes of the ceremony from the historical university ceremony and the contemporary university ceremony,and through a deep description of the contemporary university ceremony,taking cultural anthropology as the theoretical basis,using field research and other research methods,to explore the practical difficulties of the current university ceremony,and propose corresponding solutions,which will help deepen the understanding of the university ceremony and promote the play of its effective functions.First of all,based on cultural anthropology,this paper summarizes the achievements of cultural anthropologists in the study of ceremony,analyzes its significance in the study of the internal structure and social function of university ceremony expression,discusses the connotation,structure and characteristics of university ceremony,and combines the existing research achievements of cultural anthropology and the uniqueness of university organizations,The definition of university ceremony is as follows: university ceremony is the practice process and behavior mode of organizing various symbolic symbols containing university culture and university spirit,and performing by the ritual object in a fixed and regular manner in a specific ceremony situation.Secondly,this study traces back to the school ceremony in ancient China,including the entrance ceremony,sacrificial ceremony,cultural and sports activity ceremony,daily ritual ceremony,etc.Summarize and analyze the university ceremony in the schools founded by modern missionary schools,Chinese classes and the CPC in Yan’an period,and the development of modern university ceremony.Then,according to the characteristics of the times when the Internet and university rituals are combined,the development of network rituals is regarded as a separate stage of development,which is divided into three categories: network rituals with universities as the initiator.In the change of university ceremony,the ceremony has become more and more diversified in form and space,but the university ceremony still maintains its own development logic and becomes an educational carrier full of virtue,reflecting the spirit of university and bearing social value.Finally,this study uses fieldwork and other methods to explore the current development of university rituals,including both successful and failed ceremonies.A successful ceremony is conducive to the gathering and expression of emotional energy,the self-confirmation and identification of identity,and the remodeling and integration of values.However,the failed ceremonies are mainly manifested in the entertainment of ritual behaviors,the rigidity of ritual procedures,the monotony of ritual situations,the insufficient use of the intrinsic symbolic meaning of rituals,and the relative absence of the subjectivity of ritual objects.On this basis,the author analyzes the reasons for its failure and puts forward corresponding solutions in order to realize the ideal state of university ceremony.
