| In recent years,the volume and popularity of online games have only increased and not decreased.Meanwhile,with the official inclusion of e-sports in the Asian Games,it also marks the mainstream trend of online games.League of Legends,as the most popular PC online game that has dominated the domestic list for many years,has not been surpassed,depends on the strong user loyalty attached to the game order it successfully shaped.This order cannot be built without the rich rituals of the game.Therefore,it is the central research question of this paper to explore how the value system hidden in the League of Legends is expressed and conveyed to the mass game players through rituals,and to what extent such rituals shape the order of the whole game.Solving these problems will help us better understand the power and interaction mechanism contained in the game rituals.It provides some reference for the system construction in the game and the maintenance and maintenance of social order.Through participatory observation and interviews with more than a dozen game players in different fields,this paper obtained in-depth and detailed first-hand data,and analyzed the obtained materials with the analysis method of multi-modal discourse,which confirmed the feasibility and characteristics of remote ceremony.Meanwhile,it discussed and summarized the diversified scene performance of game ceremony,as well as the expression of symbols and discourse in the ceremony.Finally,ceremonies in the game are divided into five categories: power ceremony,consumption ceremony,honor ceremony,competition ceremony and celebration ceremony.It is found that these rituals,relying on their respective symbols,interact with players in different ritual scenes,and shape the hidden rules and power concepts in the game through direct or indirect discourse,thus forming a group culture with a certain degree of separation.While gathering emotion and shaping identity,they ultimately achieve the shaping of the game order. |
