Research On Unit Teaching Practice In Junior High School Biology Based On Subject Key Competencies

The ’Compulsory Education Biology Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition)’ was officially released in April 2022,and six curriculum concepts headed by ’core literacy’were proposed.The core literacy development requirements include four aspects life concept,scientific thinking,inquiry practice,and attitude responsibility.Undertaking the achievements of high school curriculum reform,the 2022 curriculum plan proposes to continue to explore unit teaching.The integrity,systematicness and comprehensiveness of unit teaching design are in line with the core literacy system,which is an effective way to develop core literacy.Based on the theories of constructivism and learning transfer,this study aims to construct the unit teaching design process under the guidance of the new curriculum standard,and carry out the teaching design and implementation.It is concluded that unit teaching plays a role in promoting the development of students ’ core literacy,and provides teaching experience for front-line educators.Firstly,this paper combs the research status of core literacy and unit teaching at home and abroad by consulting the literature,and defines the relevant concepts to determine the theoretical basis of the research.Secondly,on the basis of the existing research results,the unit teaching design scheme based on core literacy is formulated,and the unit teaching is designed with the theme of ’ Genetics and variation in biology ’ of biology in grade 8of Beijing Normal University Edition as an example.Then,the teaching experiment is carried out in the school where the teacher is teaching.The control class adopts the traditional class hour teaching,and the experimental class implements the unit teaching.Finally,this study adopts a variety of evaluation methods,including mind mapping,inquiry practice activities,other performance activities and unit tests,to comprehensively evaluate and analyze the effect of unit teaching.Translation:Research shows that unit teaching can effectively develop students ’overall core literacy,promote teaching through diversified evaluation methods,and realize the integration of teaching,learning and evaluation.In addition,unit teaching also helps to improve the professional level of teachers and provides useful experience and reference for future teaching practice.
