The elementary school stage is the beginning of basic education,a critical period for students to initially acquire knowledge and master it.The document "Guidance on vigorously promoting the scientific interface between kindergarten and elementary school" points out that elementary school should establish an awareness of the interface, take the initiative to strengthen the interface with kindergarten education, and actively explore the implementation of school adaptation education to help children adapt to elementary school life.Based on this, this study takes the promotion of students’ learning adaptation as the landing point, explores effective methods to help students’ learning adaptation, tries to combine the familiar games of students with literacy teaching tasks, verifies the feasibility of literacy game teaching to promote students’ learning adaptation through action research, and expects to provide empirical reference for students’ school adaptation education. This study includes five parts. The first part is the introduction, which provides a brief overview of the background of this study, the definition of core concepts,a review of domestic and international research, and the theoretical foundation of this study,so as to lay the theoretical foundation for the smooth conduct of this study. The second part is the formulation of the research plan before the action research, which introduces the purpose of this study, the content and significance of the study, the research method, the research subjects, the action researcher, and the research framework and steps. The third part is the preparation for the action research.Through interviews with six front-line teachers and classroom observations,we understand the current situation of literacy teaching, game teaching, and students’ learning adaptation in the first grade, and use questionnaires to conduct learning adaptation pre-tests on the experimental and control classes to summarize the problems before the action research. After investigation,it was found that first-grade students lack the willingness to actively read and have less interaction with teachers in the classroom; The problem of students’ learning adaptation is prominent, and the learning adaptability of first-year freshmen needs to be improved;Applying games in the classroom can draw students’ attention to the classroom and gradually adapt to the new learning life. The fourth part is the action research process.Based on the action research plan and preparation, two rounds of action research were conducted to verify the feasibility of applying game teaching in the first grade literacy classroom to promote students’ learning adaptation through the feedback and summary of the effect, and the post-test was conducted on the experimental and control classes respectively through the questionnaire to verify the students’ learning adaptation level in four aspects, namely, willingness to learn, good questioning, learning habit, learning interest and learning ability. The post-hoc test was administered to the experimental class and the control class. The fifth part is the conclusion and suggestions of the action research, which summarizes the conclusions of the action research and proposes the design and implementation strategies of the game teaching to provide effective references for front-line teachers to promote students’ learning adaptation education through the game teaching method. |
