With the development of Game-based learning(GBL),there are some factors affecting its progress,among which is instructors' ability of game-based teaching(GBT).The activities carried out by instructors unable to meet students' expectations,which leads to the inability of GBL to take advantage.What kind of game-basedteaching literacy should instructors possess to competent game-based teaching is a key factor to promote education and communication.This research was intended to develop a literacy model to provide a guide for instructors to self-examination using a mixed method from the perspective of experts and instructors with good teaching performance.Firstly,important literacy items affecting Game-Based-Teaching quality are collected from an extensive literature review and interview.Qualitative analyses of these data identified features of gamebased teaching literacy.Using the data regarding instructors acceptance collected from a questionnaire survey,EFA is then used to classify and reconduct dimension of those literacy items.71.550% of the variance was accounted for by the 5 literacy key elements identified: basic game literacy,high-level game literacy,Instructional SystemDesign for GBL,Organization and management of GBL,Gamification Evaluation.Finally,in consultation with domain experts,AHP is used to identify the key literacy elements that instructors can prioritize to improve teaching quality by giving each item a relative weight.The findings indicate that “Instructional SystemDesign for GBL” was the leading key elements effect game-based teaching.Therefore,recommendation is provided to instructor that game literacy should be improved when integrate gamification into education.
