Homework is not only a tool to help students consolidate learning content,but also has been given the function of testing learning effects and assisting teachers.The success or failure of homework design also determines how well students learn after school.Since the founding of New China,the national education department has successively issued a number of policies to reduce the burden of primary and secondary school students,especially the "double reduction" policy promulgated in 2021,which reflects the state’s determination to reduce the burden of primary and secondary school students.Therefore,the layered design of junior high school chemistry homework not only meets the requirements of the "double reduction" policy,but also helps to improve the teaching effect of teachers and the learning efficiency of students.Based on the perspective of student development,this study draws on the research results on the elements,theories and methods of homework design at home and abroad,and designs a method for stratified homework design in junior high school chemistry based on the requirements of the "double reduction" policy and the suggestions of the chemistry curriculum standards of compulsory education.Using the method of horizontal division of junior high school chemistry homework exercises,the students’ chemistry homework is designed in layers.Combined with the final examination results of the students after the experiment and the interviews with the students after the experiment,the results were obtained according to the experience of the research process and the students’ achievements and feedback analysis,and the strategy of designing chemistry stratification assignments in rural junior high schools was proposed for reference by rural front-line chemistry teachers.Firstly,basic research is carried out,the literature on operation design at home and abroad is sorted out,and four elements of operation design are proposed,namely operation objective,operation type,operation content and operation evaluation.According to the relevant theoretical basis,under the premise of conforming to the law of students’ physical and mental health development,students were assigned homework experiments in layers.Based on the experience gained from the design process of students’ stratified homework and the feedback of students’ attitudes and achievements,the experimental results were analyzed,and the results showed that after the implementation of the layered homework experiment,the performance and learning motivation of all students were significantly improved.Finally,the strategy research is carried out,and the design strategy of chemical stratification operation in rural junior high schools under the background of double reduction is proposed through the summary of experience obtained in the experimental process.
