Whole book reading and discussion is the first learning task group explicitly proposed in the "General High School Chinese Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition,2020 Revision)",which runs through all course stages of compulsory,selective compulsory,and elective courses.It is an important part of the trinity of single article reading,group article reading,and whole book reading."The Analects of Confucius",as one of the recommended bibliographies for the teaching of Chinese whole book reading in senior high schools,can lead students to construct the whole book reading experience,and can promote senior high school students’ in-depth thinking about the excellent traditional Chinese culture.The value and status of The Analects of Confucius is even more necessary for research.This article will discuss from the following four parts:The introduction section discusses the background and significance of the entire book reading teaching,related conceptual analysis,and the current research situation of the "Analects of Confucius" entire book reading teaching,and clarifies the research route and methods of this paper.The first chapter is divided into two parts.The first is the value of reading and teaching the entire book of "The Analects of Confucius",mainly including the cultural value,literary value,ideological and political value,and teaching method value of reading the entire book of "The Analects of Confucius".The second is the basis for the implementation of the entire book reading teaching of "The Analects of Confucius",mainly including the requirements for core literacy and curriculum content in the curriculum standards,the need to cultivate students’ abilities,and the need to build school-based elective courses.The second chapter analyzes the problems in the teaching of reading the entire book of The Analects of Confucius through the methods of student questionnaires and teacher interviews,mainly including: teachers’ insufficient understanding of the teaching content of reading the entire book of The Analects of Confucius,outdated teaching methods,single evaluation methods,insufficient students’ interest and motivation in reading,insufficient reading literacy,and the lack of a standardized curriculum system for reading the entire book.The third chapter mainly proposes teaching strategies for reading the entire book of "The Analects of Confucius" based on the relevant concepts of the new curriculum,the value of reading teaching for the entire book of "The Analects of Confucius",and teaching practices,mainly including: reconstructing the teaching content,class type selection,and evaluation strategies for reading the entire book of "The Analects of Confucius".
