Ideological and political education is a "living" textbook for teaching and educating people in the new era,and the rich content of tennis optional courses is one of its natural carriers.The paper conducts research on ideological and political education based on the curriculum,with the aim of designing and conducting empirical research on ideological and political education in tennis elective courses.It aims to consistently integrate ideological and political education into classroom teaching and extracurricular practice,and achieve the unity of knowledge transmission and value guidance,as well as the combination of physical and moral education.The significance lies in promoting the ideological and political construction of tennis elective courses,verifying the effectiveness of ideological and political teaching in tennis elective courses with the goal of cultivating moral character and cultivating students’ excellent quality as the guidance and value,and providing reference for the practice of ideological and political teaching in tennis elective courses in ordinary universities.The paper takes the ideological and political teaching design of tennis optional courses in three universities in Yanjiao area as the research object,and takes students from three universities as the survey and experimental objects.Using methods such as literature review,the paper explores the ideological and political elements contained in tennis in ordinary universities.On this basis,the paper first clarifies the connection between tennis elective courses and ideological and political education,and designs ideological and political education for tennis elective courses.Secondly,by determining the experimental time and location,clarifying the experimental steps and evaluation indicators,and controlling experimental hypotheses and variables,a series of measures were taken to carry out ideological and political education experiments in tennis elective courses from three levels: ideological and political quality,technical assessment scores,and physical fitness scores.Data analysis and processing were conducted using SPSS 25.0 software,and the following conclusions were drawn: firstly,the tennis culture in tennis elective courses contains rich ideological and political elements,It is feasible and effective to conduct ideological and political education in tennis elective courses in ordinary universities.The second is to integrate the concept of ideological and political education into tennis elective courses,which can effectively play the role and value of tennis specialized skills teaching and ideological and political education,thus achieving the dual education goal of tennis elective courses.Thirdly,tennis teaching design should not only serve the teaching of basic tennis knowledge and skills,but also meet the needs of ideological and political teaching objectives,in order to achieve the effect of integrating morality into physical education and walking in the same direction.The fourth is to verify the effectiveness of ideological and political education in tennis elective courses in Yanjiao area through experimental comparison.The fifth is to use diverse methods and carriers to achieve the rapid integration of ideological and political refinement goals and moral essence.At the same time,it also requires dedicated tennis teachers to observe persistently,cooperate with multiple departments,and effectively implement the effectiveness of ideological and political teaching.Through reflection on ideological and political education,the following suggestions have been put forward: firstly,in schools,it is necessary to support the effective application of ideological and political education in mechanism guarantee.Secondly,in the classroom,it is necessary to integrate theory with practice,and integrate ideological and political education with extracurricular activities to achieve effective application in tennis teaching and the three major classrooms.Thirdly,in terms of smart campuses,virtual connection with reality should be achieved to effectively utilize ideological and political education in resource integration.
