Abstract/Summary:
In the 1990s,western scholars began to expand the application of "core training" to athletic sports,and research found that core strength is important for almost all athletic events.Core strength is an important component of physical fitness,and it has a specific impact on improving sports performance and athletic ability.Badminton,as a traditional athletic sport,is a required course in physical education for students.The jumping smash in badminton is a key technique for taking the initiative and scoring in the game.Therefore,it is necessary to study the methods and means of improving badminton skills for physical education students.Traditional badminton teaching focuses more on technique,which easily ignores the connection between students’ physical fitness and physical education.Strength quality is the foundation of sports,and badminton strength training focuses on training large muscle groups,while neglecting small muscle groups in the core area.It is particularly important to combine core strength training with badminton-specific training.There is less research on the impact of core strength training on the jumping smash in badminton.Therefore,this study aimed to use core strength training to further improve the core strength and physical fitness of physical education students in sports colleges and provide references to improve the efficiency of physical education by improving the smashing ability in badminton.This study used literature research,expert interviews,experiments,and mathematical statistics.Twenty-two students from the badminton specialty class of Xi’an Sports University in 2020 were selected as the research subjects and divided into an experimental group and a control group,each with 11 people.Before the experiment,the basic physical information,core strength quality,and jumping smash performance of the two groups of subjects were statistically analyzed,and there was no significant difference between the two groups.The experimental group underwent core strength training,and the control group underwent regular classroom training to explore the impact of this intervention on the jumping smash in badminton.Research results:(1)There was an extremely significant difference in core strength before and after the experiment in the experimental group(p < 0.001),while the core flexion and extension stability of the control group was significantly improved(p < 0.05),and there was no significant change in core rotation stability(p > 0.05).There was a significant difference in core strength between the experimental group and the control group(p <0.001).(2)After the experiment,the highest and average speeds of the jumping smash in the experimental group were 159.14 km/h and 47.67 km/h,respectively,while those in the control group were 145.20 km/h and 42.84 km/h,respectively.There was a significant difference in the speed between the two groups(p < 0.05).(3)The results of the landing point scoring test showed a significant difference before and after the experiment in the experimental group(p < 0.05),while there was no significant difference in the landing point scoring of the control group before and after the experiment(p > 0.05).There was no significant difference in the jumping smash error rate between the experimental group and the control group after the experiment(p > 0.05).Research conclusion:(1)The core strength is improved,which enhances the transmission efficiency of students’ muscle strength from bottom to top,and the kinetic energy of badminton feet jumping and killing the ball is stronger,which is conducive to improving the speed of the killing ball swing and enhancing the initial speed of the killing ball.(2)Core strength training can effectively improve the ability of nerves to limb control in various environments,ensure self-stability,and have a positive impact on improving the accuracy of badminton’s feet jumping and killing the ball landing.(3)Core strength has a positive effect on the reduction of mistakes under the net with both feet jumping and killing,and is not directly related to killing the ball out of bounds.The higher the technical level of badminton,the more proficient the technical practice,and the relatively low error rate.
